This is a terrific beer. This is *NOT* an ESB! By no means does even one element suggest ESB. There is no such thing as imperial ESB in my book. That said this hoppy malty alcoholic flavorful beer, whatever it is pretty darn tasty.
Appearance: Pours a partly translucent ruddy brown with a off-whit tan head and nice lacing. It has a spotty cap for the duration of the beer.
Smell: Malty bready aroma with a sweet base and a cinnamon coriander spice attribute that leans toward the aromas of a Belgian. Bold citrus hops breakaway from that vein and make this an enticing but illusive aroma to nail down.
Taste: The taste is sweet. Candy apple flavors bread caramel sweet fruits toasted malts toffee and piney hops. Big IPA flavors and a bit of alcohol lead my mind to think of DIPAs not ESBs.
Mouthfeel: It has a solid Mouthfeel. Very large in the mouth if you are expecting an ESB but I have long since given up on the idea that this is to style.
Drinkability: This is a sipping beer. Very tasty but certainly no refreshing sessioner.
Hope this is helpful.

Enjoyed this 12 oz bottle out of a Belgian tulip glass.
A: Pours a dark brown hue with a thin white head that quickly dissipates leaving a good trail and semi wispy lace.
S: Sweet caramel malt aroma.
T: Smooth caramel malty flavors that finishes on the dry side.
M: Medium body and medium carbonation
O: Solid ESB – great flavors and aromas.
