Having on draft in AZ. A -Color - light golden yellow. S - Nose - almost none. Really sticking nose in glass to try to get anything but to no avail. T - Taste - toasted wheat bread sans butter. A little salt...light. Creamy lingering finish. O - basic, unimpressive, pass. Next.

Pouring a cellar temp bottle into a snifter. The beer is a foamy gusher on opening and pours a bright slightly hazy gold color with large clean white foamy head that fades rapidly to one large wispy island and no edge layer of bubbles. No streams of carbonation rise to the surface and some particles are suspended in the brew. Aroma is mild grain and some light fruitiness, pears is closest I can come up with for the nose. But dominated by husky grain scents.
First sip reveals a light crisp body with fine prickly carbonation. Very easy to drink and would be enjoyable on a hot sunny day. Flavor is grainy husky malt with some caramel and a little sweetness that finishes very dry.
A nice slightly sweet brew that Im glad to have tried but not sure I would hunt it out on my next trip to the beer store.

Served on tap in a pitcher, then poured into a generic pint glass. Reviewed from notes:

A - Presents a cloudy, non-transparent golden orange color with no head, though I blame this on being served in a pitcher. Appealing nonetheless.

S - Pepper, clove, sweet sugars, plain bread yeast, and light crisp wheat. Not terrible, though it's definitely not remarkable.

T - A watery bland open bleeds through the simple wheat body. The spice notes are nice, though there very underwhelming. The agave doesn't really contribute any flavor; rather I find it to compromise the balance of the beer.

M - Thick, medium bodied and undercarbonated.

D - It worked pretty well as a refreshing beer on a hot day, but it's not special. There are much better wheat beer to be had.

Two inch, rocky white head drops almost instantly, leaving no lacing over a clear, light gold beer.

The aroma is that of hay with light pepper and some wet cardboard. Rather uninspired.

Sweet with some acid and a light, bitter aftertaste. This one is about the same as other Agaves.

Light bodied with a watery texture, soft carbonation and some astringency.

A sessionable beer even from a tulip glass, but probably better suited to a frat party. While easy to consume, I find no reason to try this, or any other Agave beers for that matter.

(11/11/2011) Poured into a Sam Adam's Perfect Pint Glass. Not much head and quickly dissipating, effervescent head.

A: Earthy and grassy organic aroma.

C: Dark yellow color, cloudy

Sip: Earthy wheat malt flavor with a grassy pepper touch from the agave.

OV: Very cool take on a wheat beer, spicy and peppery without being overpowering. This beer wasn't too much to rave over but the originality of this brew and natural taste make it worth buying especially for a summer ale.

A - This beer pours a semi-opaque golden of an unfiltered wheat. The head is a healthy 2 fingers and lingers several minutes. Minor lacing.

S - It was hard to detect much aroma. Slight wheat, slight creamy banana.

T - The taste is not at all what I was expecting. Initially it was hard to detect that this was even a wheat from taste alone as the flavor is quite light. It did have that creamy smoothness that I associate with a wheat.

M - The creamy smoothness of the taste is again present in the mouthfeel which I very much liked. It also seems to have a bit more carbonation than most wheats, and I too found that likable.

O - I wavered between a 2.5 and 3 for an overall. It definitely had some of the characteristics of a wheat but it was only average when it came to taste. This beer is worth trying but it not an exceptional beer.

God Bless Max's Taphouse in Baltimore!

If looks could deceive...

Nice smell & the taste is out of this world. Loved the orange with it.
Nothing like Blue Moon - flavor stays with you. A little hoppy but after a few dull beers - refreshing.

Would pair well with a beef or chicken burger or after a few dull beers. Not a beer to start off with...

pours a thick cloudy yellow color into a frosty pint glass with a 2 inch white head. smells yeasty, and is very visibly unfiltered. also some bitter hops in there and wheat malts. flavor is refreshing, mildly fruity, and you can definitely taste agave, which by itself is a rather difficult to describe, mildly sweet, lush plant. feel is too thick for this beer, too full bodied to be a good summer beer, but good carbonation keeps it fairly easy drinking. my pour was perhaps toward the bottom of the keg, because it was much thicker and more cloudy than the bottles of this that ive had. either way, a creative take on a wheat beer, just not my favorite breckenridge product.
