This is a good wheat beer by a great brewery.
On the nose: wheat, citrus, floral
On the palate: well rounded wheat, crisp, slight sweetness, light but flavorful

This beer is not going to knock your socks off but give it try if you haven't had it. Solid win for Breckenridge...

A - Pours with a small head of white foam on top of a hazy, dark golden body. The head settles rapidly and leaves very little lace.

S - A floral aroma of honey and tart wheat.

T - Earthy wheat up front, some light honey and herbal hops in the middle. Finishes with light tartness, some floral notes, and a lingering earthy hop flavor.

M - Medium-thick body, moderately high carbonation, and a balanced finish.

D - Nothing special, the agave adds some light floral and honey touches to the flavor profile that make it slightly more interesting than an average American wheat beer, but thats not saying much. Drinkable, but unremarkable.

Had on tap.

Poured a hazy straw yellow with a fairly thick 1.5 finger white head.

Some banana and clove in the aroma. Some floral and spiciness as well.

Flavor has mostly clove, banana, and bubblegum and tastes much like a typical hefe. There is a bit of tartness and the agave is detectable but it is quite faint and doesn't really contribute much to the beer.

Overall, a fairly typical, unoffensive hefe that tries to be unique. Not something I would really seek out again.

On-tap 9/5/2012 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub in Pawtucket, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a murky gold color, with a thin white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains wheat, light caramelized malts, citrus and agave fruit with a faint touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of agave and citrus. Then some breadiness comes in from flavors of wheat and a thin malt character. The hops presence is very mild but brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer but there are several others that I would pick first.
