12oz bottle into standard pint glass

A - weak, thin, clear, pale yellow. NO head. Typical "wtf" appearance.

S - very mild wheat aroma. nothing much else announces itself or shows any signs whatsoever. breadsticks come to mind...just saying.

T - ok here it goes....bread sticks dipped in sugar water. Wow, I understand this is a summer wheat ale, but really lacking in anything of note. Makes me want to look towards BMC and THAT is hard to do.

M - weak, like the rest of its profile. thankfully it doesnt linger, and thats the best I can say.

O - Perhaps I am too harsh of this style, but I honestly cannot recommend this offering. I knew I shouldnt get one but I relented to a suggestion. Never again! Light bodied - check. Light flavored - check. Drink again - NOPE.

Hazy straw gold with small head and no lace. Smells of lemon, fresh cut hay and light malt. Taste is perfecty metered doses of lemon zest and orange in a light biscuity malt. Moderately crisp, refreshing, wet. Not sweet. Finish is clean and light on the palate. Very good summer thirst quencher, the lemon and orange notes imparted are not overdone.

12oz can with no freshness date.

LOOK: Clear straw, lacing holds, some bubbles

SMELL: Lemon zest, orange pith, bready, clean, faint hops, grapenuts

TASTE: Crisp, moderate body, wheat, bready, slightly toasty, nutty, citrus peel smack, dry, clean, mild bitterness, quick to finish

Somewhat of a no frills summer brew, typical but it works. The lemon / orange twist does well here and is not overwhelming.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Pale yellow with mild haze and a short white head that fades quickly and leaves only a few scraps of lace.

S: Very light slightly herbal and citrus hops aroma with mostly lemon zest and some floral notes. Pale maltiness is pretty soft and seems thin as well.

T: The flavor pretty much echoes the aroma with only a touch more power in the taste intensity with more citrus and floral hoppiness coming through, but still pretty nondescript.

M: Light and thin with too much carbonation.

O: Definitely one to skip this season -- there are many, many better summer ales out there. 4 average ratings says it all.

A-bubbly gold with a nice white head

S-creamy and grassy grains. There's a decent crispness to it. Good strength

T-comes in with a very grainy taste, once again slightly grassy and creamy, but mostly all grains. It's a very smooth and clean taste. Crisp with a good matching after-taste and just a hint of bitterness.

M-medium creamy carbonation, somewhat watery, with a dry finish

O-this is a good summer beer. Very crisp and clean. It has a good lightness to it but lacks any hint to adjunct ingredients that I often find with summer beers. It's simple. I like it.
