12 oz bottle into a Glass.

A: a bright, very clear, golden orange hue. No Head, Minimal Soapy Lacing

S: Faint Frutyness

T: Typical Pils taste with a mild Bite. Some Fruity Overtones

M: average carbonation on a medium body.

D: Not really impressed. Taste is muted. Dosen't jump at me like a truly great brew should do. Price on the east cost is a bit much for this brew..

An emboldened lager taste with full flavor, Breckenridge's imperial pilsner is big in flavor and bold in body but without loosing what it is that make well-made lagers so grand. The brewers make it seem effortless.

And as the modestly hazed golden lager pours, its obvious that the beer's natural flavors are intact and not removed by over filtering. And those flavors pour on the palate with moderate honey sweetness, drizzled over wafer-thin cracker and whole grain. Delicately floral, the nose is enticed by a bouquet of honeysuckle.

Over the middle, the beer's estery character opens up with lemons and apples. Shortly after, a spiciness slices through the sweetness and gives wallop of hop spice. Its peppery taste is grassy, herbal and tangy- like verbena and lemongrass.

Its malty-dry finish carries a modest warmth, but its the tale of those spicy hop bitternesses that carry the late palate into a crisp and refreshing closure. Shying away from the rougher alcohols or maltier weight, the dry finish still remembers its base lager flavor. Rather than imperial pilsner, I prefer to see this lager as a firm Oktoberfest with the soul of structure of German lager.

Appearance - clouded orange/straw color. Watery thin head holds a thin cover somehow. Thin but sticky coating of lace.

Aroma - slightly floral/soapy outta the bottle, settles to a rather plain graininess.

Taste - big pop of sweet grain and Saaz. An alcohol zing around mid-palate and on the exhale. Tasty pilsner tang on the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - moderately crisp, nicely smooth.

Overall - a little big for sessioning but a very tasty double pils.

Appearance:
Looks like lemonade... in a pilsner glass. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow color with a thin, white head. Little to speak of in the retention or lacing department and hardly any action in the way of carbonation..

Aroma:
Right away, I pick up freshly cut grass. An earthy hop presence gives way to a fruity presence ripe with pineapple, lemon, kiwi, and tangerine among others.

Taste:
This is one sweet pilsner! From beginning to end, you are hit with sweet corn and biscuit. Not nearly as much fruit as the nose would lead you to believe, but you can find hints of lemon and orange. Hops are subtle with a bit of spice and bitterness on the finish. Trace honey. Booze is undetectable.

Mouthfeel:
Fairly light bodied with decent carbonation. Crisp and clean sweet finish.

Overall:
Easy to drink and enjoyable. Sweeter than I was expecting but doesn't ruin the experience. Worth consideration, but nothing I would regularly seek out.

A: Light cloudy, lemon-orange body shows a light to medium effervesce. The head is small, somewhat creamy and patchy, quick to demise, leaving but a weak show of speckled lace.

S: Fresh green hops against a softly, dry hay and pilsner malt backing. Drying of flowery hops which appears abundant.

T: The pilsner malt was dry and grainy with a touch of hop spiciness at times. Dry orange, flowery hops, grainy base all mesh well together.

M: Mouthful was sharp in crispness, good fullness, grainy feel, dry, with a hop spiciness twang off the tongue.

O: Overall a good flowery hop level, nice pilsner grain base, the more you drink, the more you appreciate. Definitly worth a drink, worthy of repeat, a 2x pilsner with extra incentive.

Paid $2.99 for the single. Into a pint glass

A - A very light pour to prevent the sediment from entering my glass has failed. A bright amber yellow color with a swirl of sediment sort of like a lava lamp. No head or lacing
S - First sniff was very pilsner like skunky malts and herbal hops. In the glass it smells more sweet with corn adjacent and a touch of grainy bite.
T - Not bad it taste like a sweetned up sugary pilsner. Corn and grain bill is timid.
M - ABV is pretty well hidden. Kind of bland.

Overall I guess this beer is OK the ABV is well hidden but it doesn't have the snappy hop profile it suggests on the label. Not going to pick it up again.
