Our fall seasonal combines the malty goodness of a German lager with the clean crispness of an American ale. Brewed with Munich malts and a delicate blend of Bavarian hops, it's a full-bodied treat with a nutty-sweet middle, a warming alcohol level and notes of toasted grains. A pre-winter winner.

12 oz bottle enjoy by date 11/25/23 into a Becher glass.
L: Pours dark brown with mahogany edges, a thin light tan head that quickly recedes to edge foam, light fine steady carbo bubbles, very light lacing.
S: Rich caramel malts, sassafras, very distant cinnamon pastry, leafy.
T: Slightly pale, lightly floral & sweet, darkly roasted caramelized malts, a hint of brown bread, mingling citrus zest with gently floral mixed dark fruits, plum, raisins, dried apricot, toasted grains return in the light linger.
F: Lightly brisk, fairly smooth medium to med-light bodied feel with a clean middle and a medium length smooth finish that is slightly to moderately drying. It's a tiny bit thin with a light cola feel.
O: Pretty nice overall and has great drinkability, a really nice taste, a pleasant feel and finish. Would compliment grilled foods well. It is very good in its style.

12oz bottle pours a deep brown inclining to black with a small head of tan-colored foam that fades down to a thick ring while leaving plenty of lacing. Smells of dark roasted and burnt malts with a slight boozy note. Smooth and rich flavor of roasted malts, hearty dark bread, dark fruits, and caramel with a hint of cacao and charred malt. Very slight sweetness and a subtle but noticeable boozy flavor with slight heat. Small bitterness that fits in very well with the flavor and forms a pleasant bittersweet aftertaste. Medium to full-bodied with a mouthfeel that starts smooth but changes to fizzy with a moderate amount of carbonation.

This was a really nice beer actually, better than I expected from Breckenridge. Would definitely consider buying again.

Poured from an 12-oz undated bottle into a snifter (we’re camping, and snifters are all we have with us).

Appearance: Very dark brown, with a small light tan head that dissipated pretty quickly and left some lacing.

Nose: Dark roast, a little sweet dried fruit.

Mouthfeel: Medium, plenty of carbonation.

Attack: Dark roast, malt, balanced by both dark roast and hop bitterness.

Finish: Dark roast and hop bitterness continues.

Overall: Not a world-changer, but drinkable.

For some reason I love a dark brown Ale from Munich malts. It’s really good and fresh going down easy drinking in a bottle only. Never drunk, just damn good easy feeling of fun by the fire

"Best enjoyed by 11/14/22"; drank 10/23/22 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; tree-rung lace.

Acorn, brown sugar & faint cream notes in the nose.

Creamy, medium mouthfeel.

Acorn, caramel, mild brown sugar & faint cream flavors.

A nice American brown ale! I'd have another.

Autumn Ale brewed by Breckenridge Brewery, with an ABV of 7.00% This American Brown Ale pours out of a 12oz glass bottle into a pint beer glass. The color is a nice deep brown color with a nice off white head. The head sticks around on this brew. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with roasted grains an malts. There is also a slight sweetness mixed with some roasted hop goodness. So far autumn ale is a nice inviting brew . Now for the taste, it is bold with flavors. Lots of roasted goodness mixed with mild sweetness. All around a nice well balanced brown ale. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it is really hard to pick up on the 7.00% ABV of this brew. It is just that smooth. The mouth feel is Bold , Rich, Roasted, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. This brew would go nice on a cool Fall Day outside or inside or with a meal. Overall I am going to give Autumn Ale a 4.25 out of 5. Breckenridge Brewery did a super nice job with this American Brown Ale.

The best new release to hit our grocery stores (Safeway) in a long time. Exactly as it promises on the label--perfect for fall. A dark brown ale with balanced flavor, surprising opacity, and a whiff of Bavaria. Not quite genius, but at its price point, I'm going back to the store to get everything they've got in stock. Like if Celebrator and Hibernation Ale had a baby, but then it dropped out of high school.

It ain't yet fall here but this concoction is a good reminder as to what's to come, historically, traditionally, meteorology, hopefully, ya know-AUTUMN.
A post-summer, pre-winter in-betweener ale.
T'ain't a warmer, 'tis an unwinder.
Enjoy one or 2 when available to.

From the bottom right corner of the label: "BEST ENJOYED BY: 111822 BR1529"

Appearance: It is a very dark reddish-brown color with a light opalescence. It has a large creamy textured head with a cream color that has a touch of tan. The head has very good retention. It has thin wisps and sheets of lacing.

Aroma: There isn't much aroma that comes through at all. It has a very light hint of char but that only barely comes through.

Taste: Up front there is a very light nutty character with a hint of malt sweetness. Towards the middle some alcohol comes through. Each time a sip is had the alcohol presence grows. Not much in the back of the palate. The aftertaste is only alcohol and some light residual sweetness.

Mouthfeel: It is on the upper edge of light bodied and it has a smooth slickness to it. It is easy to drink. No bitterness.

Overall: It is a pretty sub-par American Brown Ale that lacks in both aroma and flavor. The alcohol character comes through pretty strong which doesn't do much to help matters. The label says that this is a "Brown ale brewed with Munich malts and Bavarian hops" but neither of these shine. The label also say "7.0% ALC. BY VOL" which becomes overbearingly obvious when drinking this beer. As a whole it didn't have enough merits for me to want another one or to recommend it.

The beer pours like an extension of the container it is evacuating, both in color and clarity. The light beige head builds on a strong pour, without threatening to escape its new vessel.

There's a little acidic note to the nose, almost a little like a sourdough bread vibe. Separately, there are dark bread and nutty coffee notes, and perhaps a latent, light woody scent. This brown ale isn't hearty or robust despite its 7% ABV tag. It has a light body could be viewed as near watery, but I find a deceptive depth to the feel, though, with soft carbonation that envelops the palate a bit from the edges.

The opening of the beer somewhat resembles the presumed yeasty note, with a nutty and earthy undertone. Middle veers a little with a bit of a generic fruit flavor (subtle and integrated note of perhaps some apricot with a sprtiz of lemon). This takes over a little more than expected, and hides the bread and light, nutty coffee notes I hoped would come through from the nose (and do peek through in occasional sips).

This isnt the greatest brown ale but it's really not bad and I guess a smidge unique in their malt selection. The taste is there but lacking a smidge but again being a smidge experimental is nice and I appreciate their fall release is a brown ale.
