Served on-draught into a 12 oz pilsner glass at Breckenridge Barbecue in high altitude Denver, Colorado. Reviewed from notes.
I have no idea why they chose to spell it with two "p"s, and the waitress actually "corrected" my pronunciation when I ordered. Wow.
A: Pours a half finger head of nice cream lacing, good thickness, and good retention. Colour is a hazy yellow.
Sm: Light candied sugar, pleasant malts, heavy yeast, and light hops. A pleasant, mild strength aroma.
T: Pleasant malts are tamed by light balanced hops with vague yeast tones. Light on the palate, but crisp, clean, and luscious. Balanced but timid. A bit simple (especially for the style), but enjoyable. The finish is a bit off. Rings of candied sugar on the finish. A yeasty aftertaste.
Mf: Smooth, wet, and a bit too thin and underdeveloped.
Dr: Quite drinkable, but not bold or inspired. I'd have it again, but it's not my first choice from Breckenridge.
Serving type: on-tap
