this used to be the South City Grill and they totally revamped the inside. Good selection of beer, the taps are semi-local with offerings from Victory, Ramstein, Defiant, Flying Fish, Brooklynn Southampton , etc. Good bottle selection with all the big names, Chimay, Duval, Dogfish, etc. This place in new so the crowd was a little light. Prices for drafts were in the %6 range. Food was okay but the place in definately more upscale then a place like Andys or Copper Mine which is all about the beer. Still they have a great selection and the bar is really nicely done. worth a stop

Stopped by after a recommendation from a friend.

Nice atmosphere lots of wood, dark, mellow and big comfortable tables.

Service was excellent. The server took pride in knowing the beers and discussing what I would have in my beer flight.

Selection of beers was good. Had 12 of so regional beers on draft, mostly big beers which is a good match for my taste. St Boisterous, Double Bag, Ramstein Winter Wheat, Ithaca Winter Wheat, Flying Fox Exit ?, and a couple of IPA is what I can remember. Also a decent bottle selection.

Food, we had every thing from a steak to a hamburger at the table. All the food was good or better, and well prepared.

The bill was a bit pricey, and at $6 or $7 a draft it is easy to run up a tab.

This place is rite up the street from me and pretty much the closest venue for on-tap craft beer.

The food here is pretty good, seasonal....a bit pricey and contemporary for my taste (its sister restaurant, Fire and Oak in montvale, is crazy good but doesn't have the beer selection).

Bistro55 has a lot of tables as well as a few long beer-hall style tables by the bar and bar seating. You can order food wherever.

On Weds night, they have 4$ pint nite.

The beer selection here, for the area, is really sweet. There is about a dozen brews on tap, Most of which are local micros....long trail, defiant, brooklyn brewery, ithica brewing, and Unibroue to name a few....mostly east coast stuff, and some have QUITE the kick. A 10%ABV Brooklyn stout for 4$ a pint is pretty good for Bergen County....great by NYC standards lol.
The bottle selection, altho pricey, is VERY expansive, well over 100+ bottles...I dont know ANYWHERE else in the area with a selection like that except for Firewaters...however things are much more fresh and the atmosphere here is just better. By Far.

The beer tap selection is seasonal, so it switches up every few months and everything is nice and fresh. Seasonal and Fresh are major themes here even beyond the beer.

We come primarily for beer nite once in a while, and it never gets too busy....its a nice quiet place to grab a good brew, mayb some sweet appetizers (try the mussles! w a nice allagash white!).

The service behind the counter is usually very knowledgeable about the beers on tap, which is another plus that they dont just have some twit w hot tits back there who doesnt know a bud from a guinness...and they are pretty knowledge about their bottles....also they have a full bar of top shelf liquor and wine for your lady friends who arent into beer.

Overall we dig the vibe and selection here, and for 4$ a pint will def keep coming back here and there. Check it out if your in the area and want a good draft brew.
