Appearance: A classic, dark porter that had a deep ruby hue when held up to the light. There was a ton of lace left on the glass as I drank this one.
Mouthfeel: Too thin for a porter, in my opinion. It was nice and smooth, but could have used more body.
Taste: This was a very fresh tasting beer. It had a great roasted malt flavor combined with a bit of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavors were good, but like the mouthfeel, they were somewhat lacking. I would have enjoyed the beer more if they had had more of a presence. Very pleasant, though.
I had this on cask at the brewery. It was good porter that grew on me the more that I drank. It wasn't exceptional. but very quaffable.
