I am filing this to report that a fire in an adjacent bakery has interupted business.
Fire was on Friday Feb 16, 2007. As they fought fire it was necessary to cut power to the block. This was a serious fire very near the brewpub. Check before making a long drive ( I am over 200 miles away and arrived about 30 minutes after firefighters and news helicopters)

Neighborhood does seem pretty safe and I found getting to the location pretty easy (for an out of towner). I have been reading some good reports on the new beers and have tried 75th Street brews at some St. Louis beer fests over the last few years.

Here's the quick skinny direct form me.

The brewery sustained no serious damage. The fire didn't cause any damage to our building directly. The only damage we have is lots of excess smoke and of course they shut off the power for a week or so. We're going to be shut down for 4-6 weeks to bring in a cleaning team to make sure the smoke smell is gone and to start fresh.

When we open back up, we're going to have a revamped menu, full beer tanks and plenty of beer to go around. I'll post more information here as we figure out more definite dates.

Tried out a handful of tasters with some friends that love a beer they had at a beerfest and was not impressed at all. I didn't try any food, but this place should have better beer if they have been around since 1993.

Visited back in April 2013 (from notes):

I visited the establishment on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, and it happened to be raining, so the place had pretty sparse crowd, maybe a dozen people in a place that could easy seat 60+ people. I sat at the bar, which had space for 15-20 people. The one thing that caught my eye was the kettles right in the middle of the joint. It was kind of cool, but I think that it broke up the space too much. So, the place was not really that happening that night, but I had the ESB and a Stout (it was on cask, but it had too much carbonation somehow...even the bartender said that he did not know what was wrong with it, but it just didn't taste or feel right. They may have had a dozen or so beers on tap, with a nice variety of styles. I also order some food, which was ok for pub grub...nothing special, but not bad. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about beer and since I was only one a few patron, we had a nice discussion about beer. Overall, a decent place, but if I go back, I will head here for beers before heading somewhere else for dinner.
