The Fire Place
Being a local to Southington I have been coming to this place for far to long and have spent far to much money here. But for a reason.
It's a small establishment especially on a busy night but despite that you never wait to long and regardless the size of the bar area doesn't matter it's always easy to get a drink. The bartenders and waiters always know what there doing especially when making whatever drink you come up with or more importantly pouring a perfect pint. I'm pretty sure most of them are certified in some way. The pizza is guarantee'd to be some of the best you've ever had and always loaded with plenty of toppings or full of flavor. I have yet to find a pizza as good as they make it and I've had the critically claimed so called best there is. The only thing that takes points away is the pricing, you can definitely spend a good amount of money in this place but get all you want for a decent amount.
Selection wise this is probably the best bar in Southington, they always have at least 10 taps and 8 of them good craft beer so there's always something there to enjoy. I've never had a bad pint from dirty lines or any off flavors. Always clean glasses, lines, faucets, and fresh kegs. I however do not recommend the Fireplace branded beer, it's awful hah. But from what I've heard from employee's it doesn't sell well so it's always an old keg. Do not get this beer! Stick to something like Blue Point Blueberry or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
Go here and enjoy it!

This is usually the place i go when im looking for a beer or two from the tap, they pour a good Black and Blue. Great little place for a Beer and wood fired Pizza with fresh ingredients. Fireplace has a nice look, feel, and comfortable atmosphere inside with the brick walls and the dimmed lighting, and also has a covered outside section in front thats nice when the weathers warmer, day or night. They've got a very decent selection of beers which i will update the next time i go down and then whenever it changes, there main seller is the blueberry ale from Bluepoint, served with real blueberries in the glass which is a nice touch. The beer prices are reasonable and the food could be considered slightly pricey however its worth the pennies. Flatscreen TV's everywhere in the tap room, and you can chow your pie rite there. Its a popular place especially on weekend nights, and rite down the street you can stroll to the Fire n' Smoke cigar and hotsauce shop for something to puff after a few delicious brews, if you choose.

A cool little tap room located near downtown Southington. Good selection of micro taps, as well as some good craft selections, including Otter Creek, Harpoon, Sierra Nevada, SA & SA Seasonal, Long Trail, Red Hook, as well as a few others. Your standard bottle selection is here, and a couple craft selections as well. Constantly rotating. The menu here is basically pizza, but it is to die for! Excellent amount of toppings on whatever you order which is nice to see. The cool part about this place is the little flat screen TV's at every table, you can watch whatever you like while sipping a beer and eating a pizza. Very cool! The interior is nicely decorated, with brick walls surrounding everything, kinda makes you feel like your eating in a fire place! Service is excellent as well, very attentive, and when your pint is empty they make sure to get you another one quickly. Overall, I enjoyed this little nook in Southington and will definetley make return visits!
