Had to check out their truckstop Tuesday specials. So I convince a few co-workers to make it our dinner spot. We all agreed it was an excellent decision!

They were a bit crowded, but we were seated within a few minutes.

I started with an oatmeal coffee stout, which was exceptional. As an appetizer we ordered up the fried mozzarella per hwwty4's post below, and damn it was awesome.

I had the truckstop 7.99 meatloaf with fried okra on the side (another 2.59), and it was not only a great value, but a damn tasty and very filling meal.

We were going to hit up the cigar bar, but smoking is no longer permitted in this establishment per Missouri law. They do sell cigars, but you'll have to smoke them somewhere else. I am not sure if their outdoor area is an option, it was raining while I was there and the patio area was shutdown. so we moved up to the bar in the dining area for a few. there is also another larger bar area on the other side of the cigar lounge.

Service was attentive at both the seating area and the bar. This is a cool place. There are alot of televisions, so if you are looking to watch a game you'll be alright. If I am back in town, I would most likely do another Tuesday for the meal and pint (2.50) specials. I only tried one beer (because I liked it so much) and held its own. I really enjoy coffee, and oatmeal stout, so it was a great pairing as far as I am concerned. (1,404 characters)

Neat spot right in the thick of the Westport neighborhood. It has the feel of a hotel bar, 360 degree bar, with probably twelve or more beers pouring. Odd scene on a Friday night, with a mix of beer people angle going out type folks dressed up and not at all there for the beers. Apparently there is a club if some kind attached, and there is obviously some spillover. Made for an interesting vibe, good people watching and much more quiet than other places on the street, which I welcomed. I had the good farmhouse, and it was just that, good. Tropical notes and a lot if body, fun yeast, very alive. Other beers looked moderately less interesting, but everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. Bartender Ricardo was super nice, very inviting, appreciated his hospitality. I'd go back but maybe not on a weekend night, seems more suited to a daytime than a late night crowd. Beers were tasty though for sure, just didn't seem to be their only focus... (959 characters)

On a trip to KC with my family, we stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy, but the staff was friendly and prompt. The food was excellent...I had a Mac and cheese with much rooms, asparagus, and cauliflower. The beer selection was varied, with a berlinner Weiss that was outstanding. The feel is pub like, and inviting. Lots of young people, but it still felt comfortable with kids. (400 characters)

Visited with my family over spring break.

Liked the pub atmosphere on the dining side. Seemed family friendly

Beers were alright, none of them were any I buy again

Service was attentive, prompt friendly

6 different kind of beers on offer, not that many, The coffee stout & quad were the most exotic

Food was goo not great, standard pub fare

An alright place, but I see no compelling reason to go back (408 characters)

I have much love for McCoy's because it is where I got my start in the beer world.
Upon returning some years later, I can tell they are really in the groove. Pumping out some pretty excellent and unique beers that have developed and improved over time. Staff has good beer knowledge, and a line-up of veteran bartenders is there to answer the "beer nerd" questions. (366 characters)

Stopped by while we were in KC, and man was it worth it. They have standout food, and their beers were very good. I had the Good Farmhouse, sampled just about everything else, and was not disappointed. Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Great place to stop by if you're in the area. (292 characters)

Really cool brewpub. I wan’t there too long but I tried a lot of their beers at Foundry the night before. The IPA is great. The deck out front was a nice place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon. Come to this neighborhood if you’re a beer dork. There’s a bunch of interesting beer places (two more of them owned by the same group as McCoy's). (347 characters)

Went here to watch some football and drink some beers. It's a nicer bar and well maintained.

The beer's were good, the food was also good. The menu is geared toward foodies. I don't know what a sofrito is. Corn chips? But once I got past the menu the food was good.

The waiter at our table was knowlegable about the beers on tap and was helpful in describing the seasonal and cask offerings.

There were around 8 beers. From pedestrian gateway beers, like wheat and ginger, to the full blown craziness, of a cask russian imperial stout aged with cinnamon, cloves and cranberries. (581 characters)
