On-draught @ Ladyface. Rating from notes:
Boasts a refreshing spritzy wheat malt backbone with a subdued sourness (maybe a 2/10 in terms of intensity) and a nod towards lime peel and maybe sea salt. Not too dry or crackery. Well-balanced if a bit unprobounced.
Lacks any particularly vivid or expressive flavours, and it does feel like more of a gimmick attempt at a perceived-to-be-obscure style than a sincere expression of a grisette. One could label this a Belgian farmhouse ale and none of Ladyface's clientele would be the wiser. An enjoyable brew, but not one that stands out.

Appearance: Arrives with a cloudy honey colored liquid that is capped by a whipped egg white head; nice lacing action
Smell: Bready with subtle lemon tones
Taste: Bready, up front, with developing hints of lemon; slightly spicy with a bit of a tart finish, but the yeasty/bready flavors are dominant
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Nice and refreshing, with all of the flavors balanced and the lemon aspect held in check; great with food

On tap at Newhall Refinery in Newhall, CA.
Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, citrus, yeast, and slight spice aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, fruit, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a slight tartness in the flavor that makes it refreshing.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a thin bright white head that died down and left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass. The head eventually faded away and left no traces of bubbles.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peppery spices are present in the nose along with notes of lemon citrus.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the lemon citrus flavors are a bit stronger and the peppery spices are a little more subdued.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No dryness is perceptible.
O: This beer is quite refreshing but lacks the dryness often attributable to beers in this style.
