We have a project site in the Simi Valley area, so I stopped in here after leaving work one day.

I didn't quite expect this place to be in a little strip mall with a Jack in the Box, a tiny liquor store, and an Islands (among a few other things). In fact, I drove past it at first.

The service was good and relatively friendly. They let me tick in piece as I sat at a table in the bar area.

Some of the beers are pretty decent (especially their regular IPA and Picture City Porter). I didn't have any food as I did not feel like paying excessive prices for a hamburger.

Prices are the main problem here, especially for some of the beers (read: the ones that aren't very good).

This place is really clean and easy going but I have had mixed experience with service
The servers do not know much about beer
The stuff they brew is decent enough I like the DIPA but do not get growler fills because so expensive I feel like $20+ for just the fill is too much
I have also had really rude bartenders and one time filled a growler and they tried to charge me too much and had to argue that I want the price listed on the board
The food is decent but once again pricey
i think this place caters to an older crowd who is not worried about overpaying I would rather frequent other spots more friendly to beer geeks

This is my favorite spot. Beer is always good, and the food is a perfect pairing. Love the heavy fats available on the menu and perfect beers to cut them with. Always have a great time here, and I often bring big groups. Do not miss the burger or the sliders. Really appreciate their sourcing of the meats they get. I think the Tripel is their best beer, but, love that they're always up to something unique as well.
