I hit the Yard House with BAs LongBeachBum, Stoutlove77, and DavidBanner. It's big upscale spot on the water. The crowd is on the young side (at least from my point of view) and it seems to be a bit of a pick-up spot. Even for us married guys, this does leave plenty of good looking women to see, but it's not exactly the atmoshpere for serious beer enjoyment. As others have pointed out, the wait for the toilet is a real problem, especially when one of the urinals is on the fritz, as it was on our visit. Service at the bar is fairly attentive and friendly. The selection is vast, though I'd have liked to see a few more exotic beers on the menu. All in all, it's a great spot to try on tap many beers that are usually found only in the bottle in Southern California. I'll go back.

My large work group arrived right before sunset. The views here are amazing. The sun was setting and reflecting off of the harbor right out front of our window seats. Since we were such a large group they gave us the entire harbor room. Food was good, but not great. Service was actually pretty good for the size of our table, but a bit slow. The beer list is lengthy and extensive, but there isn't anything rare or special. I tried some of the house beers that are brewed by Firestone Walker. They also were adequate, but nothing special. Go for the atmosphere and views.
