A- pours a dark chestnut brown color with some ruby hue, small light tan head with average retention

S- subtle roasted malts, a bit nutty with a touch of chocolate

T- sweet and roasted malts, but very subtle. Notes of chocolate and a bit nutty, just a hint of coffee, finishes with a caramel fruitiness, dry finish with a bit of nutty chocolate linger

M- medium body, low carbonation-almost too low, creamy mouthfeel and a silky finish

O- easy drinking, just enough malt, sessionable, nice chocolate notes. Won't blow you away but very drinkable.

From the tap, there is a fairly strong aroma of nutty malt. As for the look, it pours a clear amber with a white soapy head. In the taste there is roast, coffee, light herbal hops with faint citrus . Caramel, toffee, small mineral. Light peat smoked malt, pretty nice overall.

Another of the roll-out brews from MBC.

Rich, red-tinted dark brown with absolutely no head - but again, that's likely because they're using some gawdawful sanitizer on the glassware. Light malt aroma. Decently hopped English brown taste, like Newcastle with more bittering. Easy drinking, good mouthfeel.

It's not the old Appalachian Ale but it's a fine beer nonetheless.

I was really torn between calling this an American Brown or an English Dark Mild... since the brewer called it a brown, so will I.

Poured a nice deep brown color with great lacing, but little head. Nice sweet malty scent, but nothing too deep. Deep malt flavor, slight burn grain taste, with a bit of biscuit in the flavor and a nice semi-chocolate finish. Finishes smooth and thick, and slightly creamy. Great mild brown and nice brown ale.

This is one of the first three brews from the newly opened Morgantown Brewing Co. My first impressions of this beer were somewhat confused. They are clearly trying to label this as a brown ale, however I am not certain that it could not also be categorized as a porter in both taste and appearance. Nothiing really stands out in this beer, just a general helping of caramel malts. Its not bad but its not great ether hopefully they can tweak the recipe a bit to make it stand out somewhat.

poured a very nice dark brown that was barely see through. Clarity and ruby edges observed when held to light.
smell was mild chocolate with a slightly heavier roastiness. Very nice on the nose.
Taste was nice as well. True to style. Mild roasted malts, toasty and bready. Hints of chocolate.
Very thin in the feel though.
