This place is a pub with a pretty cool look to it. The atmosphere varies depending on what's happening and what time you go. This place hosts all kinds of bands, and there's generally a performance every night. Whether it's crowded and the crowd loud and obnoxious or lively but tolerable depends much of the time on who's playing. There's a restaurant feel to the inner area by the bar, where the menu is more expansive than a pub or bar menu, and there's a larger more open seating area out by the stage a room over. Thus, one gets a better option of what sort of atmosphere he or she would prefer. The beer variety is tremendously impressive; there's the typical macro with some of the more transitional brews available. Guinness, Bass, etc. as well as a Leinie's or two are always represented, I think maybe a Sam Adams or two, and something perhaps from Anchor and maybe Stella or the like. There are 12-15 taps and a few dozen bottles. It's a good place to hang out and grab a not unusual but pretty good beer from time to time and a good burger too, and maybe catch a decent show if a good band's playing. (1,112 characters)
