A beer that describes itself as a "Cherry Summer Wheat" should have at least a hint of cherry to it. This beer does not. I was hoping for a Michigan version of Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat which is my gold standard when it comes to fruit beers. What I got was a very clear looking wheat with almost no haze (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just unexpected for a wheat) and no cherry flavor at all. Most pronounced flavor was the yeast. I won't be buying this one again.

Like a gift from the heavens, this makes a beer like Cherry Wheat like a thing of the past. This is a good middle of the road beer, which gives way to a flavor profile that is sweet and bitter.

Cloudy amber with thin white head. Malty smell. Grainy and slightly fruity. Malty, bready taste. There’s an almost stout-like smoky, roasted malt flavor in the back. Moderately bitter.

A rather bland wheat beer with a little cherry flavor. Tasted like sweet cherry which makes no sense to me should be tart cherry.
Nowhere near as good as their Diabolical IPA which I recommend.

Poured into a beer mug, pours a foggy orange with little to no foam head, which sits around the edge of the glass.
smells of floral notes, wheat.
Tastes kinda watery with wheat, citrus notes.
Feels thin with low carbonation to note, so drinks smooth, you can almost feel the foggyness in it.
Overall, good for warmd ays, but left more to be desired.

12 oz. on-tap served in pint at Whole Foods, Waugh Dr., Houston, TX
(June 21, 2016)
L: mostly clear gold, very dark, almost bronze/copper; soft pour renders just a cap of white foam; keeps a slight collar; some activity in the glass
S: fruity ... sweet corn ... grain alcohol; as it warms, it does have an occasional whiff of cherry sweetness
T: wheat pilsner comes to mind -- a little earthy hop bite but fruity with some bread malt; it quickly becomes a medicinal glass of corn water with a metallic flavor, like corn syrup without the sugar; the flavors of the first sip are gone ... so medicinal; warmed up, the bottom third offers a pinch of cherry flavor
F: light, crisp, easy to drink -- nothing remarkable but very solid
O: it has a great opening act but crumbles into a rubbing alcohol flavor that never seems to improve; there's enough hints of cherry flavor that I'd be willing to try it again, especially fresh at the brewery, but I wouldn't dare buy a 6-pack. it's just not that good.

Pours a foggy orange with a thin, white fizzy head. Head retention is moderate to poor, with any lacing slipping back into the beer almost instantly. The aroma is dull, and weak with notes of wheat, and biscuit malts. The flavor profile has a bit of a lactic sourness, with notes of wheat, and bread malts. Mouth feel is fizzy, with a medium-thin consistency. Overall, it's so-so. The lactic sour and bread qualities bring up memories of so-so goses.
Served in a 12oz snifter.
