Bottled 1/2/14.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen suspended in the beer after the pour. Smell is of malt, wheat, citrus fruit, and candied citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with wheat and candied citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a candied citrus zest quality that makes this one seem sort of like a barleywine to me.

Pours a clear, copper color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of slight hops, slight sweet malt, and slight caramel malt. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, sweet malt, caramel malt, wheat, hint of earthy malt, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, good appearance, weak aroma, decent body and blend.

A - Pours a honey color with a one finger slightly offwhite head. Average retention and lacing

S - Aromas of pine upfront with a slight grassiness to it.. Caramel malts in the back.

T - Hops are present although it is more on the finish than upfront. Very slight pineiness upfront followed by a nice wheat/caramel maltiness. Very good flavor

M - Very good mouthfeel. Both creamy and slick. Nice burn that isnt overpowering

O - A very enjoyable wheat IPA. Different than most I have tried. Will look for it again. A sessionable beer for sure

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 9/7/2013. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, light pine, wheat, bread, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good hop complexity and moderate malt balance; with decent strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, wheat, bread, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, wheat, bread, light caramel, and light pine on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of citrus/floral hop flavors; with a fairly balanced malt backbone and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly slick and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Nice balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

There are several reasons why I love this beer.
Many of the reviews have been those that like it but I love it.
Pours smooth into a pint glass, thin layer of head that stays
and turns into nice lacing on the glass as consumed.
Beautiful color truly, nice burnt amber bright color.
Smells nice and pale, wheaty and hoppy.
Flavor very full bodied and does not disappoint.
Goes down smooth with that nice hoppy bite finish.
North knows carbonation too.
It's just great.
One of my favorite beers.
