Golden amber with orange hue, clean and clear. Pleasant aroma, can smell the Belgian influence, subtle, not overpowering.
Subtle flavors that work, but understated. Some bitterness, but it's not an in your face IPA.
Liighter bodied, smooth mouthfeel, decent carbonation, with a good bite in the finish. After taste lingers for awhile.
This is a really solid beer, but stops just short of making me go "wow".

Poured from tap into shaker, no head to speak of, minimal lacing. Light golden amber in the glass. Smells citrus, fruity and some muted Belgian esters hanging around. Taste is initially fruity, with a follow-up of citrus, ends with a bitterness that curtails the underlying sweetness. Solid mouthfeel, a little alcohol on the tail end. Would buy this again if I can find it in bottles.

Very heavy for an IPA from Michigan. Threw me off the first time I had it but now have very specific cravings for the weight. Couldn't have a six pack of the stuff, but that's not really what this one'should going for.

i had way higher hopes for this one, after the favorable reviews and all. its pretty simple and underwhelming, and it smells and tastes like it was fermented way too warm, the belgian yeast strain has been somehow compromised, encouraged by temperature to get carried away with the sharp esters and gummy bear notes, really takes over the rest of the beer, especially the hops. some candy sweetness from the yeast too, taffy or something fake fruity. the hops have some fruitiness too, citrus mostly, but its largely lost to the belgian element here. i like the smoother body to it, the perky carbonation, and the drier finish, but the proportions arent right in this one, and as refreshing and still easy drinking as it is, the flavors just arent all there, it doesnt taste anything like an ipa. i am surprised to see others rate this one so highly, i thought it was just okay and actually a little flawed with the runaway belgian yeast in here. i have liked other beers from these guys better than this one for sure.

Pours a frosty, cloudy yellow-orange with a thin white head. Head retention is moderate, but with good lacing at the start of the glass. Belgian spice, and floral, and pine hop aromas. Nice and subdued aroma. The flavor profile is great, with notes of Belgian spice, citrus, bread malts, and floral and pine hops. It isn't overpowering, over complex, or over bitter, instead it strikes a nice balance between easy sipping, and bitter. Mouth feel is smooth, and easy going, with a medium consistency. Overall, it's a great brew. It has a little bit of complexity, but is otherwise a straight forward brew that uses simple malt and hop notes to get the job done.

12 oz stubby bottle.
Cloudy lighter amber, dull golden perhaps. Frothy and long lasting lite khaki head. Leaves a thick collar and nice looking scattered and fine lacing
Peppery spice, and fresh tropical fruits on the nose.
Bursting with more pepper, yeasty phenols, coriander, melon, mango...more and more...complex, fresh and thoroughly delicious
