Had on tap at Grill One Eleven.

Appearance was light golden color with a very nice white head.

Smell was hugely of hops and citrus but still some lingering smells of the yeasts.

Taste was fantastic. One of my newest favorites in the category. Tons of hops and the belgian yeasts were exactally what I was looking for.

Mouthfeel was not as heavy as I would expect for an IPA but it worked very well and overall this was a fantastic beer.

Poured from a stubby 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

White rocky head leaves great lacing. Almost clear amber body. Sweet aroma with lots of citrus and tropical fruits. I'm also getting a little mint and bubblegum action in the taste and smell.

Overall a pretty good IPA, but not something I would want to drink more than a couple of in one night.

Burly fills the glass with a hazy honey colour. A frothy head reduces to some patchy spittle.

The nose has a nice floral hop bouquet and some grapefruit with some lovely classic "Belgo" tones of bubblegum and candi.

The taste has some toasty bread flavors with bubblegum and powdered sugar. An enjoyable bitterness emerges and works well with the flavors.

The mouthfeel is light to medium. Very clean.

The drinkability is good. This is an enjoyable brew that goes down easy. It is a clean and streamlined beauty that is a cure for a bored palate. Another one would be welcomed. Good things are happening in the north these days.

Stubby bottle (marked Feb08.11) poured into a Duvel tulip.

A- A glug-filled pour left a 1-1/2 finger, eggshell head that was quite foamy. It fell to a full film that left awesome rings. It had a golden-orange body that was gently hazed, though a secondary yeast pour as I was halfway through the glass really clouds it up. Moderate carbonation. A little better head retention and this is a "5."

S- Mix of musky hops and cool Belgian funk. A little banana and bubble gum, some herbal hops. I sense some really oily, resiny qualities. Sugary-sweet malts. It's just the right aromas and intensity.

T- There's a lot going on here. It starts as a traditional IPA with a hoppy punch. Belgian, yeasty funk comes in through the middle. A secondary hit of hops come in to clean/dry the finish. The hops really run the spectrum of earthy/herbal, piny/grassy, and citrus. Malts are sweet and toasty.

M- Moderate carbonation and meadium, creamy body. Real hoppy bite.

D- This is a really good beer. The sample I had at the MBG Winter Fest just didn't do it justice. I could do 2-3 of these in a sitting without it getting old, and I'd definitely buy it again. It's a great combination of IPA and Belgian qualities.

Big thanks to lewis1rg for this one.

A- Very hazy in color, very similar to that of a wheat beer. Head was wheat beer like, but sticky like an IPA.

S- Great smell, very fruity in aroma, malty, some clove and honey, pineapple, pine, and earthy aromas.

T- This has an interesting taste. I get a great IPA hop kick in the front with a very fruity hop aroma. I want to venture a guess and say Citra hops. Then this bready earthiness comes in followed up by a clove and honey wheat beer tastes.

M- Good balance of medium body and carbonation.

D- Very drinkable. If this was sold in my area I would for sure buy it up. Super tasty!!!

12oz Stubbie poured into Pint.

Standard pour left a nice two finger, thick light beige head. Lacing was wonderful.

Aroma had a great balance of pastry dough, graham crackers, honey, and a slight spicy herbal hops.

You can taste a bit of the toasted malt up front and the nice herbal hop is balance throughout the experience. There is a nice hop finish with citrus.

I really enjoyed this beer. I was sad to learn this is a seasonal, and won't be available again until next year. My market is sold out, but I'll look around for more.

12 oz. stubby.

Hazy golden nectarine body. Two fingers of thick, whipped, light beige head. Great lacing. Aroma is a nice mix of Belgian yeast, graham crackers, honey, and spicy, herbal hops. There's also a bit of lemon zest and pine.

Toasted malt up front. Spicy, herbal hop bitterness comes on quick and stays throughout. Malt turns a little sweeter (honey), with notes of melon and tropical fruit. Belgian yeast adds some spice and adds a distinctive note to this beer. Citrus and pine join near the finish, which is mostly dry. Medium-bodied with a slightly creamy feel. Tasty and well done!
