Stopped By North Peak for the first Brewery on our trip to Traverse City. When walking in, you're presented with the vats and beer area. The walls are mainly all wood with some brick, giving the building a welcoming atmosphere

I ended up getting a sampler which was fairly priced at $12 I believe, the sampler included 5 beers at 5 oz apiece and I ended up getting: Northern Light, North Peak Pale Ale, Mission Point Porter, Steelhead Red and Shirleys Irish Stout. All the beers weren't bad, though was a little disappointed with the Stout and Porter. They had 2-3 other beers that were seasonals also.

Also ended up getting some food, which there was also a nice selection of, got some pretzel bread for a appetizer that included Cheese made from the ale and it was fantastic.

The service was great also. The waitress we had was very helpful and courteous. Each of the waitstaff seemed nice and welcoming.

Overall this was a nice brewery to go to, and would be perfect for a night out or get togethers. I really enjoyed the wood interior and would come back/recommend.

The place is absolutely beautiful. I hear that the food is great, but we did not eat. there was 3 of us that ordered beers. We each ordered different beers. All the beers came out with very large bubbles or foamy heads. Each of the beers tasted like soap. This includes the cask beer that they had that night. I hope that this was a fluke and we just went on a night that they cleaned the lines. On this night, we all left with 3/4 of a pint on the bar.

Beer is very passable. Food is meh. Big time tourist destination. They are one of the oldest brewpubs in Traverse City and do very well given their location. Nice building. Staff is young and while helpful, kinda douchey. Menu is joe average fare from frozen food supplier without much creativity (if Applebee's is your thing, you'll be fine eating here). Buy the beer in any local store without disappointment or astonishment if you want to try it. Many better choices in town for food.

Walked in on a summer Saturday evening and got seated right away. The place is clean and bright, with the industrial look that others have mentioned.

Our waitress was prompt, courteous and knowledgable about the menu but she see didn't really seem at ease. She seemed confused about the beer sampler, but it came quickly once ordered.

The food came out fast, hot and delicious. I had the skirt steak which came out exactly medium rare as ordered, my wife got the fish. Both entrees were delicious, although the fish was a little too greasy.

Overall, it was a fun place with good food and nice beer.
