750 ml bottle (bottled 5/12) poured into Chimay chalice. My 100th BA review!
A- Cloudy pale golden color. Off white head rests on top like meringue at a half finger. Good rings of lacing.
S- Crisp fruitiness with a little bit of the Belgian strong spice character. Strong sense of a malty, sweet bread background.
T- Dry hop up front. Sweet malt balances out fairly well.
M- Semi full body, sweet up front with a dry finish, but no looming of bitterness. Tingling of carbonation is nice.
O- Wonderful. I like how this is not a complete malt bomb. It gives Chimay a larger range, with some nice hop character. Very tasty, and definitely a go-to if I'm not feeling the sweetness of other Tripels.

Poured from their capped bottle into a chalice, nice two finger head, tight small cream colored bubbles, left significant lacing. Did not hold as long as the Chimay red, but certainly above average. Color is a hazy straw orange.
Smell some nuttiness and slightly more hop notes than what I have come to expect from Chimay, but definitely pleasing. As I often say in my reviews, this is not my best area, so I often miss subtle notes.
First taste had an almost almond bright note, then the citrus, last some spice, very subtle peppery bite, not bad, don't panic, it isn't spicy in the sense that it creates heat. Like all of the Chimay brands, other flavors show up as they warm. The chalice is a must!
Mouthfeel is full and rich all the way. Unlike American attempts at this type, the Belgians know how to hide their ABV!
Overall, I prefer Chimay Red, followed by Blue, then this. That being said, this is an outstanding Belgian Triple, well worth the experience, my guess is it is a great first Triple, because the color and aroma will please many different palates.
