On the "Beers of Fame" list. Rock on!
Served in a Delirium Tremens glass.
A: Poured a very, very dark, murky, peppery orange color with a massive mildly off-white head that looked liked shaving cream.
S: Very understated, with sort of a BBQd Belgian Yeast quality that was very subdued. I appreciated the fact that this wasn't an in-your-face banana bomb.
T: Very balance, with the Belgian yeast strain merely washing over the other ingredients, give this very much a musty, malty, dark fruity, beverage. I was especially impressed with the smooth finish.
M: Highly carbonated and with a good bit of splotchy lacing to boot. There was just enough bitterness there to be dangerous, with a very pure, un-Americanized (uber sweet) profile. Ahhhh...
O: One of the best Tripels on the market. This is the way it's done, folks!
