From 750 ml. spilt w/ jessethehutt:
Awesome glowing orange/yellow with some sediment floating around. Huge head from aggressive pour in Duvel Tulip.
Smell of sweet Belgian yeast, citrusy fruit, a little spice, and some alcohol.
Taste begins with a sweet almost citrusy impression followed by some peppery bite that counters the sweetness nicely. Dries out (in a good way) on the finish. A little warming alcohol too.
Great carbonation keeps this concoction lively and refreshing.
High level of drinkablility despite 8% abv. I would have no problem downing a 750 on my own. Again, refreshing as the sweetness is balanced out by other peppery, spicy complexities and carbonation.
One of my favorite tripels along with Fin Du Monde, St. Bernardus, Westmalle and Stone's Sawyer's.
