Appearance: Completely opaque golden orange with a very foamy off-white head.
Aroma: Some bready malt and a little yeast. A hint of fruit and spice.
Taste: Real juicy at first with orange, pear, apple, and fig flavors. Some yeasty spice in the second half and finishes dry. The 8% ABV is masterfully hidden and produces a slight warming in the throat. The flavor on this one is somewhere between sweet and bitter, giving a little of each but keeping everything balanced.
Mouthfeel: Super effervescent and medium in body. Pretty easy drinkability.
Final Thoughts: Chimay delivers with another great representation of the style. No off flavors but nothing special either. Would I drink it again? Maybe.

Poured from their capped bottle into a chalice, nice two finger head, tight small cream colored bubbles, left significant lacing. Did not hold as long as the Chimay red, but certainly above average. Color is a hazy straw orange.
Smell some nuttiness and slightly more hop notes than what I have come to expect from Chimay, but definitely pleasing. As I often say in my reviews, this is not my best area, so I often miss subtle notes.
First taste had an almost almond bright note, then the citrus, last some spice, very subtle peppery bite, not bad, don't panic, it isn't spicy in the sense that it creates heat. Like all of the Chimay brands, other flavors show up as they warm. The chalice is a must!
Mouthfeel is full and rich all the way. Unlike American attempts at this type, the Belgians know how to hide their ABV!
Overall, I prefer Chimay Red, followed by Blue, then this. That being said, this is an outstanding Belgian Triple, well worth the experience, my guess is it is a great first Triple, because the color and aroma will please many different palates.

Pours a fairly clear golden with a lingering frothy ivory head. Notes of green apple, lots of peach, coriander, and clove dominate. The flavor is more subtle, with sharp green apple,a touch of pear, and citrus becoming bready mid palate and finishing peppery and spicy. Great beer, with a well appointed dry character that keeps it refreshing. Bitterness is a touch more than I'd prefer.
