A- Straight mellow pour produced an asthetically pleasing billowing white head with the thickest lacing Ive ever seen. Pale sickly looking orange/yellowish body thats very cloudy.
S- An avalanche of bready spicy yeast.
T- Im getting some bitter hops that was a bit off putting to me, then the bready malts followed with their sweetness so it balanced it out for me. Some cloves and banana taste totally hefe reminiscent comes in at the finish along with the bitterness I initally experienced.
M- Cant complain in this department the feel was a total drinking pleasure of thickness.
D- It's real tasty and the 8% is nowhere to been seen. A classic delicious brew thats always worth coming back to.

Poured from their capped bottle into a chalice, nice two finger head, tight small cream colored bubbles, left significant lacing. Did not hold as long as the Chimay red, but certainly above average. Color is a hazy straw orange.
Smell some nuttiness and slightly more hop notes than what I have come to expect from Chimay, but definitely pleasing. As I often say in my reviews, this is not my best area, so I often miss subtle notes.
First taste had an almost almond bright note, then the citrus, last some spice, very subtle peppery bite, not bad, don't panic, it isn't spicy in the sense that it creates heat. Like all of the Chimay brands, other flavors show up as they warm. The chalice is a must!
Mouthfeel is full and rich all the way. Unlike American attempts at this type, the Belgians know how to hide their ABV!
Overall, I prefer Chimay Red, followed by Blue, then this. That being said, this is an outstanding Belgian Triple, well worth the experience, my guess is it is a great first Triple, because the color and aroma will please many different palates.
