Poured into Piraat snifter. Bright gold color, hazy, fluffy two finger head that sticks to the glass as it descends.
Aroma is yeast, banana, lemon/orange zest, white pepper, and sugar malt. Notes of hops and honey. Did I mention sugar?
Tart and crisp on the tounge, leading to the lemon-yeast flavor that transitions to the sweet malt. The beer smooths out and produces a quick ceamy feel but finishes with bitter hops and a dry finish. Alcohol hidden extremely well and honey-yeast aftertaste.
Dangerously easy to drink and a great offering. Chimay always hits the spot when in sesrch of a Belgian ale. Easily recommended.
