1pt 9.4 oz corked bottle
Apperance: great tan, foamy, thick head which give great retention. Golden apricot in color, the yeast darkens it and gives it a mysterious shadow. Tourbulent yeast clumps being pushed around by carbonation!
Nose: Raisins, citric fruits, light crisp yeast. The nose from this can make you salivate!
Taste: Crisp on the tounge just in the middle. the mouthfeel here is excellent. It's dry in the mouth at the very end. Crackers, citrus fruit, raisins, bitter yeast.
Notes: I did not do this beer justice through my description. I would take my description as a basic one, but buy it and try it for youself. It is definitly recommended.

Poured from their capped bottle into a chalice, nice two finger head, tight small cream colored bubbles, left significant lacing. Did not hold as long as the Chimay red, but certainly above average. Color is a hazy straw orange.
Smell some nuttiness and slightly more hop notes than what I have come to expect from Chimay, but definitely pleasing. As I often say in my reviews, this is not my best area, so I often miss subtle notes.
First taste had an almost almond bright note, then the citrus, last some spice, very subtle peppery bite, not bad, don't panic, it isn't spicy in the sense that it creates heat. Like all of the Chimay brands, other flavors show up as they warm. The chalice is a must!
Mouthfeel is full and rich all the way. Unlike American attempts at this type, the Belgians know how to hide their ABV!
Overall, I prefer Chimay Red, followed by Blue, then this. That being said, this is an outstanding Belgian Triple, well worth the experience, my guess is it is a great first Triple, because the color and aroma will please many different palates.
