Appearance: Hazy, deep, brown apple-cider body. Voluminous and effervescent head fades to a 1/4" orange-tinged, frothy light-tan cap with loads of creamy lace.
Smell: Sweet malt and light carmelized sugar, yeasty mustiness, sharp herbal spices.
Taste: Sweet smooth malt start, top is light and fizzy, dries quickly and quite thoroughly with an acidic yeastiness and tart citrus character. Aftertaste is malt with bitter/toasted herbs.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied, a fluffiness is introduced by the champagne-like carbonation.
Drinkability: Good stuff. I prefer Chimay Blue.
Serving type: bottle
