330ml bottle poured into an Orval goblet by freshness date.
Hazy dark coppery in color, the pour yields thick fluffy off-white head with great retention. It slowly dissipates to good amount of everlasting lace covering the surface.
Mild mellow fruits remind me of apricot and dark berries. Rich malty lay as base with caramel also plus with support from phenolic spice adding more tiers in the aroma. More phenols and resins reveal when warm.
Taste is complex. There is vast malty sweet wandering all over but in balance not way too sweet. Hop is there just adding slight bitter note. Fruity ester delicately sweeps throughout the palate and leads to an end with some phenol range between clove, spice and resin.
Medium body, velvety smooth with a bit chewy mouthfeel , lively carbonation generates pleasant crisp throughout the palate.
Well, complex yet balance also firm yet delicate, high drinkability that’s definitely a must try.
