Chilled 33cl bottle poured into a Chimay chalice glass
Pours with a thick head initially that shrinks down to a thin surface covering. Body has a very thick and opaque coffee color.
Nose is very mild fruit and phenol notes when chilled however the odors open up more as the beer begins to warm towards room temp
Taste has a very strong malt profile with various dark fruit flavors mixed with slight medicinal/schnapps notes.
Mouthfeel is an almost perfect combination of medium body and crisp carbonation with a mild alcohol finish.
I have tried this same beer on tap and the difference is almost enough to consider them two different beers. The bottle version is a lot more "active" than its on-tap cousin
