tin-ny taste and aroma from the can.... aside from that it would be very good!

Bought in a 500ml can in China, best by date was April 1 and it is June 1, so quality may be suspect. Overall there are definitely better schwarzbiers around, but probably not in China.

This is not a bad beer to start with. I have had plenty Germans who would lose in a battle with this one.
I bought this beer somewhere in may 2011. Best before november 2011.
Poured in my struise glass the beer looks ok.Darkbrown fluid with a decent head which disappears in a few minutes leaving a white ring in the glass. Smell is average, not much going on, slightly malty. This beer was a bit more on the abv then witten here; 5,2 abv. To get a nice mouthfeel a bit too low.

500mL can. Brew Date: Apr. 14, 2011. Best By: May 14, 2012.
Appearance: Deep brown, with a touch of orange seen when held up to a bright light. Two fingers of dense light tan foam, having decent retention. Left extensive lacing.
Smell: Roast malt, sweet malt.
Taste: Dominated by roast malt, but not overpowering. Just a touch of bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Light carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall: An average example of the style; there are better. Easy to drink, almost sessionable. Seems to lack depth.
