Stopped in for dinner during our brief stay in Talkeetna. They were slammed - wedding reception on the deck, lots of customers both inside and outside - plus their tap system chose this moment to crap out. But the staff sucked it up and kept food (and beer) moving despite the challenges. Beer selection was somewhat limited (maybe 6 or 7 of their own, plus a few from other Alaska breweries). I had their Ales for ALS and the Big DIPA, both of which were, if not excellent, more than acceptable by Alaska standards. Food was standard pub fare, but very tasty. Very unpretentious, which is refreshing in this day and age.
If you're in Talkeetna, this is a "must".

Talkeetna Alaska. 2020.
-this is in general for both the restaurant-brew pub and the brewery, both in Talkeetna with distinction when needed.

Concerning the restaurant-brew pub, this is the place where one can go back in time, enjoy that old days feel, with a great local town and community that made me fall in love with it that one summer Alaskan day. The restaurant-brew pub sits in the tiny quint town of Talkeetna, a tourist town feel, but with a great local vibe and fee. Kids play in the street, ride their bikes along with their parents. The front building was small log cabin like, provide very good friendly service. There are great little quint shops nearby for shopping as you sit on the wooden outdoor deck under the everlasting Alaskan sunlight where everyone seems friendly and knows everyone by name.

Yes it definitely has that small town close bonded approach which makes sitting here enjoying a piece of Alaskan history that much better with a great vibe. The only discerning factor, no fault of their brewery, seems to be the pesky seagull, which very well can be the state bird, which seem everywhere, waiting to swoop down on unexpecting tourist not guarding their food. Not enough can be said about the great vibe, friendly atmosphere, and open streets of Talkeetna which gives this a cozy, comfortable feel.

The main brewery is situated not far down the road and is more isolated. Fairly big in size it provides outdoor seating. An ordering area of a few selected beers and style you make your way out to the outdoor area with tent covering. The parking is more then ample, gravel, but just didn’t compare to the atmosphere of the restaurant site. As far as quality the beers were well made, clean and well rounded in drinkability. Nothing to daring here, they provide an honest craftsmanship and a good representation of the style intended.

Again service was good for both locations, fast and friendly especially for the restaurant-brew pub. The selection of style were well varied and not reliant to heavily on the ipa craze. A golden strong, blonde, and fruit beer, flanders, are also paired with draft cocktails, and apple cider. A selection of 6-7 beers were common at both sites with an equal representation of styles. As for the restaurant-brew pub you absolutely must try the pulled pork beyond a doubt. Fantastic and comes highly recommended by myself as well all the locals. The ribeye with pretzel dip and chips is also recommended. Pricing is very friendly and with the service, atmosphere, and joy of watching the local community go by is a price you just can’t beat.

Located in the middle of Talkeetna, Denali Brewing has a large indoor area as well as several tables outdoors and a beer garden. Very earthy and homey feel to the place. They had at least ten different brews from them on tap with a wide range of styles from your standard pales and stout to Belgians and a Flanders Red. I tried four beers and most were good not great. Staff was really good at picking out food and beverages. they were prompt and friendly despite it being really busy. I had some chili and the buffalo meatloaf which were right up there with the best food I had in Alaska. The meatloaf alone made the trip well worth it. I will be back here again if ever driving from Anchorage to Denali.

There's nothing like sitting outside drinking beer on a Sunny day in Talkeetna. This place has a deck and a beer garden, so there's plenty of outdoor seating, even when crowded. Service is a little hit or miss, but the staff all hustles, which I appreciate. Pretty standard pub fair that's about par for the course. Have had five or six of their beers, all of which were honestly just average at best. Still, a fun place to sit outside and drink at. In cold or wet weather, I may choose one of the local bars for indoor drinking or another restaurant for eating.

Visited twice on a trip to Alaska. Great place to stop in Talkeetna... and there's a pretty good mix of both tourists and locals. They have a solid selection of their own craft beers on-tap (plus some of their limited releases in bombers... make sure to grab a few) and the ambiance is quite nice. Generous seating... the food was solid (we only had apps, but they were quite tasty) and everything was pretty reasonable. Strongly recommended if you're in town.

Nice little restaurant in a great little town...especially off season. Good basic beer list with a few non-traditional offerings that range from good to outstanding (big fan of the Flag Stop series so far).

We stopped in Talkeetna on our drive back to the Anchorage area from Denali National Park. Nice little "main street" of shops and restaurants, and we decided to have lunch and beers here. The restaurant / brewpub has a nice deck with outdoor seating, and there is also a tasting room on the side of the building. It was a nice day so we sat outside.

Nice selection of about ten beers, and good diversity in the styles. I had pints of the stout and ESB, which were both good. The food was also good, the sweet potato fries a highlight. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were decent.

On our hustle back to from Denali to Anchorage to hit the airport this September, we just sorta stopped in here. Why not go to Talkeetna! The cranberries are banging! Shiiit. I still miss those guys. Shoulda filled a jar or something.
Well we stopped here first for a beer at their tasting room. Cool setup, hops growing along the glassed-in patio. Eh, maybe it was plasticked-in. They only had 4 beers on tap, an amber, a pale, an ipa, and a porter? argh, something like that. Between the 4 of us we were able to sample them all and all were damn nice.
Good people, too, just got a little expansion kit for their brewery so they were all stoked. Very friendly.
Walked through the Twister Creek, seemed cool enough, plenty of wood, some tvs, bathrooms, probably food too.
Set the tone for our very nice, brief visit to Talkeetna.
