Delicious. Hoppy and malty, but smooth and not too heavy.

From the tap, it pours a nice darker amber with no head. Interesting hoppy scent in the nose...and a lightly IPAish taste in the mouth. Not the best, but enjoyable.

I like the atmosphere at Red Brick, and it's a great spot to grab a drink before doing White Marsh shopping, but the beers are mostly just ok. A notable exception is Daily Crisis.
Pours a filtered reddish brown with a white head. Somewhat dark for the style.
Smells tangy, bready, and spicy. Very much to style and very well-balanced.
Tastes really good. One of the best examples of an American-brewed English IPA that I've ever come across. Beginning is malty, with nodes of biscuits and a little potting soil. Move into a tangier middle of European hops, which grow stronger near the end. The finish is dry and lightly floral. The complexities are bountiful, but they might seem subtle to someone who's used to pounding contemporary American IPAs.

On tap at the brewpub into a pint glass. Slightly coppery amber color. Light and drinkable but NO HOPS. If they didn't call it an IPA, I would give it a better rating. No hop aroma. No hop taste. Might as well call it a light ale because that's what it is. Ok, but not an IPA. Had this several years ago and wasn't impressed then. Nothing has changed. Red Brick is only 10 minutes from my house but I rarely go there. I'm a hop head but nothing there makes me hoppy. Only went for free beer/happy hour from my Fedex rep.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass. Pours deep orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of earthy and slight flowery hops. Tastes of earthy hops with some citrus aftertaste, but a little bit watery. Beer is light bodied nicely carbonated, crisp finish. Overall an above average beer.
