Dark brown in the pint glass. Not much head. Not overly strong, but lots of flavor. Modest smokiness and fairly malty. Tangy, but rather flat in the mouth. flavor is quite pleasant but would be much improved by some carbonation. Clean, a little winey, and a nose of caramel with a little seaweed. Just a slight bitterness.
This is a pleasant quaff, but don't let it linger in the glass. On tap at San Diego Brewing Co. [notes from April 8, 2012 visit]
