A little place in a strip mall. It has a small but quality and varied bottled beer selection. They also have about eight beers on tap. Most beers are from Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California with a smattering of U.K., Belgium and German beers. You can drink the beers on site or to-go in a 32 or 64 oz growler. They also have food. We had a Santa Fe cheese dip and Green Pepper Chili. Both were great. The only annoying thing was that three out of the eight beers listed on tap were not actually available. Update the tap list! It was a Wednesday early afternoon and the place had great business. I hope they do well.

Never been to the store so can't speak to that. But their shipping customer service is pitiful. Attempted to order a case of our favorite Deschutes, which we sadly can't get out in VA yet. Got a confirmation and tracking number. But it never actually shipped. I had an email exchange which lasted a few weeks (they took forever to respond) and led to me canceling my order and asking for a refund. Was told they were waiting for a call back from credit card company, blah, blah, blah. I should have disputed it with my bank sooner (my fault for not knowing it had to occur within 60 days of purchase). So now I am out $100 and a case of beer. And after those first few weeks they are unreachable by email or phone.

My Wife and I stopped in on a Saturday to try some new beer, when we met Jeff, who was more than happy to help us. Walked out with 9 new beers to try and an invitation to come back for the Big O Festival... We ended up enjoying 3 days of the 6 day festival there and had a great time. The food is very good, the atmosphere is not overly noisy and the service is great. This is quickly becoming our place to hang out and enjoy new brews...

Horrible customer service. I placed an order with Brewforia on May 18th and my card was charged on the 21st with no tracking number sent to me. On the 23rd I emailed them to find out why my card was charged but I had yet to receive a tracking number and received no response. The next day I received a tracking number and all was well.

When I received the box from the looks I was scared there was going to be damage but luckily there was not. The fact nothing was broken was nothing short of a miracle. However, if the shipping practice they used for my box is the norm I guarantee there is to be issues for others. The box had about 3 feet of shipping paper folded in the bottom and then the Cans and Bottles just sitting on top of that and not wrapped. I'm truly amazed everything made it ok. Kudos to UPS I guess.

Here's where the real fun starts I order 4 items and only received 3 of those items. There were also 3 extra cans in the box but I assumed these were clearly extra's as this is normal for beer ship places to do. So I give them a call to inquire about my missing bottle and immediately the lady states they'll just issue me a refund and doesn't offer to ship me the missing bottle or anything. She says I'll receive an email shortly from them with the details of my refund. No big deal just a little confused why they didn't offer to ship the bottle.

Well I didn't receive and email and see no pending payments on my account so I decided to give them a call again. This time the same lady tells me they called me on the 20th(Sunday) and spoke to me and I agreed to exchange the missing bottle for the 3 cans. Really you called me on a Sunday??? I think I would remember this conversation oh and I think I would have a record of this call in my call log too? She admittedly says "well I don't know what to tell you the customer agreed to this." She finally agreed to issue refund again however, I'm not holding my breath.

Based on their packing practice and lack of customer service I would advise to not do business with Brewforia.

Simply put, Brewforia in Meridian, Idaho has the best selection of bottled beers in the Treasure Valley and probably the best selection in the whole state. There may be a handful of other locales with more bottled choices - but I doubt there are many and most of those probably include watered down lists full of macro brews. The number of choices in the craft brew and import categories at Brewforia is truly extensive and well thought out.

There are also a fair number of draft choices available (usually 6-10 options at any given time). Typically you will find a barley wine on tap and a stout and/or porter, a wheat/wit/weizen of some kind, a pale ale or two and an IPA or two although the selection can occasionally vary a bit.

The food menu is small but inventive with some great asian flavors and tastes of the Northwest included in their popular wing and flatbread lists. The menu has expanded this winter to include a few more interesting sandwiches and appetizers that I look forward to sampling in the coming months.

All in all this is a great establishment that is a real asset to the local craft brew loving community. It's also a nice option for anyone passing through Idaho to check out during a visit to the Treasure Valley, stop in and see for yourself if you get the chance.

Update 9/7/2012. I have bought beer online from this store in the past, and had good experiences, but the last experience I had was ridiculous, and I feel the need to change this review completely.

I attempted to place an order with Brewforia on 8/22. Their site said they ship to Minnesota, and I have bought from them before. I placed my order, and 2 days later, was informed that they do not ship to Minnesota, or at least not anymore. I told them that I had to cancel the order, since I could not afford the time or expense of driving a long ways to another state, to pick up my order from a friend.

I was told my credit card would be refunded the amount of the purchase price. This was on 8/24. I checked online, and the charge is still showing up. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, and forwarded a copy of the credit memo Brewforia sent me. I will not have to pay the charge, since they didn't ship anything, but I find their business practices to be shady when they stated on their web site that they ship to MN, and then don't want to issue a refund after they fail to ship. I contacted them 3 times, and finally gave up, and decided to let the credit card company handle the issue.

Take my advice, don't buy from Brewforia.

As with all online stores shipping can be pricey. Saddy they don't ship to Virginia anymore but I still place orders through another address.

Their selection is top-notch and their use of social-media to update on their stock is a good use of available tools.

I've placed 5 orders with them over the past couple of years. The first shipment was poorly packaged but they enquired about the shipment and I've had not problems since then.

The website is easy to navigate and the checkout process is quick. Order status and history also available.

I'd definitely use them again.

A gem that is close to Gem County!!!

This place is off the hook, nonstop beer loving vibe coming off the place!

Incredible food for a tap house is an understatement, they have a "Green Apple and Sauteed Red Onion Pizza" that BLOWS the SOCKS off almost any other pizza I have had in my life. Gourmet cheeses to top the pizza, incredible.

Oh... Did I mention they have incredibly hard to find and rare brews? I know those are phrases thrown out too often but its true, Rick the owner has some damn good distributors that manage to get him some stuff they shouldn't be able to get! I have a lot of family up there and use them as an excuse to visit Brewforia at any opportunity!

This place rocks, an incredibly knowledgeable staff as well as courteous, they will definitely make you happy you went there!!

I hit this place once every couple weeks. Good feel for a bottle shop, there are a few tables, some couches, and a couple tvs to supplement the bar and bar stools.

The quality is always good, both stock and taps are regularly rotated and everything is clean and organized.

People are usually great, from the owner down to the staff. Fairly knowledgeable and agreeable, and ready to help find something or make a suggestion.

Selection is AWESOME for the area, not just the sheer number of bottles but the brands and brewers that we've NEVER been able to get in southern Idaho, which is a fairly long list. Tap lists are great too, with lots of smaller breweries and tough to find beers.

Never tried the food, looks ok when I see it. Snacky stuff and thin crust pizzas mostly.

My only knock are some of the prices. I don't mind paying extra for a great selection and hard to find stuff but a few things are overboard in my opinion. Would shop here exclusively if the prices came down even a little. However, pints are reasonable and they sell everything in singles too. Their mix and match 6, 12, and 24 packs are all discounted by 5, 10, and 15% as well.

Good place.

A refreshingly atypical bottle shop.It has neither the Kmart feel nor the hushed tones of a snobitorium. It's open with tabled seating. There are 6 or so large shelves to the left as you walk in and about the same number of coolers along the back wall. There are a half dozen or so taps and the price of the draft beer is amazingly reasonable. They serve gourmet pizza and rather tasty chicken wings. Both also reasonably priced.

A very nice place to have a beer and a bit to eat and leave with a few special selections to take home. Highly recommended.

Ordered a shipment online from the website. Pretty good selection of mostly west coast breweries. Average set up for the website with a single column of beers in alphabetical order, and they do have a search bar. Not my favorite interface, but not difficult to find what they have.

Pretty good selection. Like I said many are western states, but some of the bigger eastern breweries as well. Also it is not necessarily California heavy, at least not California breweries with fairly limited distribution. Some good mountain and other western state breweries that aren't readily available, at least to me such as Maui, Midnight Sun, and Squatters to name a couple. Decent selection of imports, but nothing great, although that's not really what I would look for on an online beer store. Seem to get a pretty good selection of special releases although they obviously sell out fairly fast. Overall seems like a pretty good selection, especially if you do not live in that general distribution area.

Price seemed about average, maybe a little above what other places would offer, at least for the ones that I have seen prices for on other sites/in person stores. That said it isn't a large difference, just don't expect any great deals. Shipping is reasonable and what you would expect cost-wise.

Shipping was fast and everything arrived safely. Seemed well packed. Good communication and received a tracking number as soon as one was available. Definitely seemed like they knew what to do when shipping.

Overall I thought this was a nice online shop that gave me a way to get some mountain state (and Alaska and Hawaii) brews that I couldn't normally get. Probably wouldn't order from here on a regular basis, but if there is a special release they have enough there to make it worth it. Also take 10% on orders of 12 and 15% on orders of 24. Overall a good experience ordering from them.

Just received my first of three online purchases. I found the selection quite impressive, as many of the offerings are never going to be available anywhere near Upstate New York. My initial order included a variety of Midnight Sun and Alaskan Brewing offerings, subsequent orders included Big Sky Ivan The Terrible and Deschutes Abyss 2010

Initial shipment arrived safe and sound, and well packed. All things considered, I found the shipping costs to be reasonable. Otherwise, I wouldn't have made a second and third purchased in shotgun fashion.

A great, interesting, and diverse selection, immediate communication, and quick turn around. I can see myself ordering from them again, and again.

With my most recent order it took four emails before I got a response as to why I received five bottles when I had ordered, all of which were in stock at the time I placed my order.

Oh, and ditch the black text on the dark brown background on the order tracking page.

I made my second online purchase recently and the service was great! This place has quite the varied selection and I see brews listed that I haven't found anywhere else.

My last order was 2 bottles of the 2007 edition of Grand Teton's Black Cauldron and 4 bottles of Big Sky Ivan The Terrible. This time around, I opted for 4 bottles of Midnight Sun's 2767.

All bottles arrived safely and the shipping charges, I thought, were very reasonable.

This is a nice store to deal with and I'd gladly do it again.
