Clear, dark red amber with moderate off-white head and great retention but no real lacing. Earthy malt and juniper aroma. Balanced sweetness of flavors that follow the nose. Lightly sour and the finish is fairly clean with a sweet fruity linger. Silky smooth with light lingering bite.

Relatively strong, intriguing flavor. This is a very enjoyable beer if you like the flavors. It looks quite dark for something that seems like an almost spring flavor although I guess it could be a coming into spring beer. It's very flavorful start to finish. I expected something like this when I bought Rogues Juniper Pale Ale aged in gin barrels; much more enjoyable and cheaper.

A: Dark ruby in color, a half finger of blonde head that hangs around just long enough for you to miss it when its gone. Lacing seems to be a short lived event.

S: A full nose, enticing, complex. Can smell the juniper (at least what I think would be juniper) and the biscuity smell of BPA; hoppy, earthy, buttery and malty aromas

T: Seems somewhat like a British Pale malt flavor up front (Stronger). I have had very little experience with juniper berries but I can tell that they have a distinct, if not faint, flavor present after the initial taste. The finish is tasty, but nothing that really sets it apart in the category.

M: Good carbonation, a little thin, but very standard for the class which I am very fond of.

O: A good choice for fans of Amber Ales, definitely tastes like it would go well with some good, man style foods. Not willing to call it a great but could definitely see myself having another with a burger and sweet potato fries.

Pours a finger and half of head on a deep red-brown colored body.
The aroma is grassy, juniper berries and dry hay.
The taste is balanced with some mild lemon and juniper bitterness coming through.
The texture is dry, crisp with moderate carbonation.
A good ale and the juniper adds a nice dry bitterness effect.

Poured in pint glass after long walk with 5 month puppy. Dark copper appearance but good clarity. Minimal head, light lacing. Earthy smell, no overpowering malt or hops. Light refreshing taste, bitterness that hangs out, not quite sour berry taste. Mouthfeel thin, but in a good way. Very good beer, one of my new favorite amber ales.

22oz bomber split into pint glasses.

A: Dark, clear and beautiful mahogany with lots of foamy head and some lacing on the glass.

S: Plain amber nose; bready malt base, earthy notes but overall a low hop presence, hints of pine and nuts and Juniper. Big bready/slightly toasted malty nose.

T: A bit more dynamic, hints of nuttiness and dark toasted caramel, even some suggestions of chocolate as it warms. More faint notes of earthy hops and Juniper barriers.

MF: Medium body, clean and malty, low bitterness.

O: Pretty plain amber ale, really. This is my first offering from Odin and honestly I'm not in a hurry to try anything else.

Odin’s Gift Nordic Amber – On tap at the Brooklyn Oyster house downtown Seattle.

It was served in a standard pint glass; the beer is a dark hazy garnet with a tan head.

It has an aroma of malts, caramel, red apple and a bit of pine.

It is malt forward. It is slightly sweet and a touch roasty. Some ripe apple and a touch of hop bite at the finish. It’s a beer that would be easy to pair with food (and this place has great food)

The mouth is thicker than many reds and it’s a better beer for it. I have a dog named Loki, so how could I pass up a Norse themed beer?
