Another fine local attempt at going Deutsch, this time with a Tukwila-brewed Helles that is quite tasty. Lovely flavor, a fine homage to the Norse goddess with her axe of cold. Summon the undead army with the best!

Golden yellow with a very modest head in the Stella Artois goblet. Starts out prickly but the carbonation seems to evaporate after a couple short pours. Just a touch of hay and flowery hops in the aroma.
This is more of a hoppy Blonde Ale. While it's some kind of summery lower-alcohol brew, it just doesn't taste light. It's also quite malty with a bready taste. There is a touch of lemony hop bitterness and just a hint of the perfumey taste that is typical of a Kölsch. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Fred Meyers in Burlington.
