Thanks to woodychandler for the trade. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some sweetness. Taste is crisp, slightly sweet, not a whole lot of flavor but nothing offensive. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this is your standard, run of the mill adjunct lager.

A 355ml can that had me at "Beer", but they had to throw in the extra "Beer", and well, nothin' else, eh? I suppose "Beer" CAN be an adjective, eh, woody?

This beer pours a crystal clear, pale golden yellow colour, with two fat fingers of foamy, chunky, and puffy dirty white head, which leaves some broad swaths of streaky, sudsy island chain lace around the glass as it steadily blows off.

It smells of semi-sweet, somewhat generic, grainy cereal malt, a bit of wet paper bag, and earthy, musty, grassy hops. The taste is basic, lightly biscuity plain grainy malt, with a twinge of glutenous breakfast cereal, a bit more damp cardboard, and some mild weedy, hay-like hops. Huh. <scratches head>

The carbonation is rather low for this sort of offering, the body light in weight, sure, but nowhere near thin, and maybe a tad clammy, but weirdly, or maybe just unexpectedly, unassailably smooth. It finishes off-dry, the now flattened graininess riding things out, and the hops slipping under the radar.

Um, what? I had this a year or so ago, still in the new incarnation of the Drummond brewery, and the carpet matched the drapes - that is to say, the can's contents about matched the minimalist packaging. Well, what can I say - things have changed, and for the better - there doesn't seem to be any adjuncts employed here - the graininess just seems too real. Upon further research, the brewery states that they now use only Alberta barley in the beers. The proof is in the pudding - this is now probably the best cheap sixer by a league or two, at least when comparing on per-unit cost.

Pale yellow appearance with a small amount of bubbly white head that quickly disappears leaving no lacing. Smell consists of grain, cereal, sweetness and heavy corn.

Taste is similar to the smell, picked up grain, corn, some sweetness and cereal. Slightly earthy and grassy, but that's stretching it. Very generic adjunct lager taste so far. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Aftertaste is dry with a lingering grain taste.

Label describes it all, very bland and generic beer. While nothing offensive; there are no distinguishable features besides chug ability. But how can you turn down something called "Beer Beer" in a plain white label? Bring to a party as a joke.

I am unsure about the beer style, but I have called the brewery and left a message, so an update may be forthcoming.

Well, it CAN't get more generic than this! "Beer Beer" in red letters on an otherwise white CAN. Straight out of "Repo Man".

My pour created an explosive finger of bone-white head that burped and fizzled its way out of existence. Color was a faintly hazy lemon yellow. Nose had the now-familiar sweetness of lager made with cereal adjuncts. I am pretty sure that I have this right for style. Mouthfeel was medium with a lager-like sweetness accompanied by a grassy hoppy bite on the tongue. Now, I am beginning to wonder again. Things that make you go "Hmm." It had an odd finish, sort of sweetish, but then taking on an earthy characteristic. I am not sure this would be very good other than cold. The more I allowed it to warm, the less I liked it. I am glad that I could again be a Guinea Pig, since it came to me in a CANTrade, but it is not worth seeking out, nor putting into one's cooler.

Before I say anything about this beer, I feel I should mention that it's probably the cheapest beer I've ever seen. Something like $4.60 for a six-pack.
355ml can poured into a 16oz pint glass.

A - Highly carbonated head of white fizz. Gone in about 10-15 seconds. Transparent golden-yellow. Absolutely no head retention and no lacing whatsoever. Looks like apple-juice with a slight touch of fizz.

S - Sweet and grassy upfront, with light malt and adjunct grains prevalent as well. Some sweet corn and cereal.

T - Light grassy sweetness. Grains. A slight syrupy corn sweetness that isn't very nice. Incredibly bland, but not totally offensive...

M - Over-carbonated for sure. Medium-bodied, but drinks like fizzy water.

D - Easily one of the blandest beers I've ever tried. Still a clear step up from Keystone or Lucky, but that isn't saying much. Considering the name, can design, and price, this could have been A LOT worse.

Poured in a 12 oz Pilsner Glass, it has a nice head of foam...

the appearance is golden light,

the smell is natural, the taste is surprisingly good and not bitter,

mouthfeel is that of a middle aged beer,

overall it is an alround good beer for the cost
