Nine year on this one. A bit of cherry juice flavour shortly out of the fridge. Light pink Tart not too tart. Got into it. Held up well.

375ml bottle - drank in late 2018 in Brussels. Poured into Rodenbach stemmed glass
pours a dark reddish brown in color, minimal head. just enough carbonation. very nice complex dark fruit and tartness in the aroma and taste. not too sharp, very deeply integrated flavors. Great to try this as I'm a fan of the regular Grand Cru version.

Amber hued with no head at all. The aroma is of tart cherries, oak, and horse blanket. I'm tasting tart cherries, horse blanket, and Brettanomyces. The mouth offers moderate carbonation and is otherwise smooth and crisp.

Ruby-tan color, vigorous head and carbonation that settles quickly. Aroma has cherry must, grapevine, oak tannin & classic lacto barnyard funk. Taste has a little underwhelming in the sense that most of the flavors are fairly muted. It starts out with the your typical Flanders tanned leather / oak flavor with underpinnings of lactic tartness. The mid-palate brings a little bit of overripe grape, elderberry & blackberry, but those flavors don't express themselves enough. It is good, and I appreciate a Flanders that doesn't overdo the sourness or veer off into the "bile" territory. It is very carbonated & tingly on the tongue, and finishes with a big but finessed sour smack. Rodenbach is also good but this doesn't rank with their absolute best, good mild sour beer.
