Reddish brown with a ring of off-white head. Well carbonated. Light vinegar and dark fruit on the nose. Plums and raisins make their way from the aromas to the flavors. Nice and tart. Seems a 'lighter' version of the Grand Cru, and appropriately so. Definitely more of a regular treat than the granddaddy. Delicious.

Idealny trunek do sytych obiadów. To piwo to kolejny belgijski klasyk i choć są inne, być może lepsze wariacje tego stylu, to Rodenbach jest jeden.

A creamy, beige, half-inch head quickly turns rocky above a clear, brown beer with ruby highlights. (SRM 20). Spotty lace forms on a Rodenbach snifter.

As expected, this one is quite sour and dominated by balsamic vinegar with sour cherries. Notes of oak and leather come and go from the background.

As with the other Rodenbach beers, this one is tart from bottom to top. Cherry is most prominent, particularly as the sweetness comes out in the middle of the finish. The finish is modest and long lasting, while the acidity is less than expected.

A light to medium body with fine effervescence and a silky texture.

This is a good option to enjoy while decompressing, as it is refreshing and cleansing.

Had this at the Pig & Fiddle on tap. The nose is big fruit, citrus, plum and cherry with tartness and traces of funk. It pours brilliant deep cherry red with a thin film of a cap. The palate is tart, lemony, fruit, plum and cherry. The texture is exquisite and rich with a good balance between sweet and sour.

After trying the Rodenbach Grand Cru and really enjoying it, I felt I needed to give this one a shot.

A&S: Phenomenal looking beer: opaque dirty brown/red colored beer with specks of unfiltered pieces. The head is a light brown and has amazing retention, staying at about the same level as when poured. Along with the usually dark fruit notes, this beer contains a good amount of floral characteristics.

T&M: Much lighter than I expected. Tart with a mild amount of sweetness. On the acidic side. Light body, average amounts of carbonation.

Overall: Save the second half of the bottle for the next day, still a bit carbonated. I for sure liked the Grand Cru more, but this beer was still excellent.

Appearance: Reddish-brown hazy color, little head that faded quickly to a thin film, little to no lacing.
Smell: Sour, vinegary, citrusy aroma.
Taste: Nice tart sour cherry flavors, just a hint of belgian yeast, some slight sweet malt flavors.
Mouthfeel: fairly thin and very dry, crisp finish.
Overall: I really liked this beer a lot, loves me some sours!
