Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: GossageBrewery on 02-11-2012

This lager provides a two-fold take on brewing history. First, it is being formulated as it would have been at the turn of the last
century, using the microbrewery’s namesake six row barley, corn, and noble hops. Second, the lager is being brewed in Six Row’s Old Plant No. 1 brewpub at 3690 Forest Park Avenue. The building is part of the century-old Falstaff brewing complex, and is an important landmark in the proud tradition of St. Louis brewing.

Served this American Pale Lager on tap at the brewery, in a pint glass. This lager pored a clear golden color, produced an average white head, retention was average and it did leave some lacing on the glass. The aroma was clean, malted 6 row barely, corn and hops. Light in body, this brew featured a foundation of 6 row barley mat, light corn and noble hops. Well balanced, brewed in the old style- This brew is refreshing, crisp and has more flavor then the normal macro brewed lagers. Great session beer- not the best attempt at a retro- lager but still prefer to Bud, Miller,Coors. Prost!
