I had a half-pint at the Surly Goat in West Hollywood and found it to be a pretty tasty IPA, on par with some of the best in the style. I always appreciate IPA's that can stand out and this had a much spicier character than most American pales. Sure, the usual citrus was there, but there was a mild herbal character that defined the beer in a delicious way. The body was a appropriately thick for the alcohol (it was a touch chewy, but still drinkable). Check this beer out if you can.

9/2018 had on tap. Pours hazy. Strong citrus & floral notes. In the beginning I thought it was pretty dry & crisp but by the end it started to have a slightly sweet after taste. Maybe because it had warmed up a bit? Either way I really liked it. Not sessionable but great for one or two. No acid burn or excessive tannin which you sometimes get with IPAs.

Nice piney floral IPA.. aroma and taste wise. A little bit heavy but nice medium carbonation. Pours gold with some sticky lacing towards the top of the glass. Overall, a nice piney/floral IPA with good hop presence. Would have again.

This is by far the best routinely canned IPA in Los Angeles proper. I consider it LA's Pliny killer- no joke. This recipe has been streamlined over many years and it is rock solid awesome and fresh. The owners of ER brewery know their stuff when it comes to high-end craft beer.

Walking in with a 4 pack of this stuff instantaneously makes you a worthy person.

I must have gotten a fresh batch. But this was ridiculous fresh simcoe. Like bathing in it good. Mother of god, I hope more establishments carry this. This is just a great west coast IPA.
