Tap @ Talking Stick Golf Course of all places. Pours a lovely cloudy gold with a frothy, thick white head. Nice lacing. Soft, perfume aroma of wheat, clove, and great banana from the yeast. Crisp wheaty taste up front which rapidly shifts to the Bavarian yeasty sweetness. Solid banana and clove in this one with a nice backdrop of lemon peel. A bit watery in the mouthfeel, but overall, a nice hefe.

Poured a cloudy yellow with almost no head. The body looked nice, but I would've liked a bit more head. Scents of cloves, wheat and some banana. The typical hefeweizen scents. Flavors include a nice hit of clove spice, crisp wheat malt and yeasty bread. There is a slight sour acidity, but that may be because they put a lemon in the glass. A part from that it was quite true to style and pleasant. Mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation. Again, true to style. A good hefeweizen, pretty true to style, but the sour note was unwelcome. I'd drink it again and ask for no lemon.

Enjoyed on tap in Scottsdale (brewed in Tempe). Unfiltered grapefruit appearance, creamy mouthfeel from the majority wheat content, the yeast. Very lacey. The smell is bannana and cloves. The taste: the cloves are right there. Appropriate carbonation. A keeper.

I often don't think of domestic hefeweizen's comparable to their German counterparts, but this one was close. Poured from a tap, it had a nice haze of wheat and yest, and the aroma's of banna and grapfruit were present. Taste was smooth, with the tangy flavor you often expect from a good hefeweizen. Overall, I really liked this beer- it was also fresh, which I think makes a big difference with a beer like this.

I have had all of Four Peaks beers and am certain that this is their best. More than distinguishable amount of banana and cloves but not overpowering. I had three this afternoon and felt the beer improved with each taste. Don't let them serve it to you in a frozen mug unless you want a flavorless slurpee. Give the beer a few minutes in your glass, I know it's hard to wait, and the aroma and taste will balance wonderfully. Above average Hefeweizen from a local brewery here in the Phoenix area.

(Draught Only):
A lightly chill hazed golden amber color on the pour, the head is average in size, the color a bright white, the texture creamy and as it erodes a fine sheet of lace is left behind to seal the glass. Nose is sweetly malt, crisp and fresh with just a slight hint of the wheat; start is quite sweet, top a bit thin. Finish is mildly carbonated the hops present and understated, dry aftertaste. Drinkable and refreshing in this dry and dusty desert, makes a fine “session” beer, and is brewed year-round, meant for the lighter is better crowd, not that there is a thing wrong with that, just doesn’t do a thing for me.

Appears a cloudy yellow with a nice, fluffy white head that lasts. Smells pretty nice, of zesty citrus, wheat, and slight banana. Taste is a bit thin and acidic. It doesn't help that they served it too cold but no matter. It has some good points. I like the zestiness of this refresher. Mouthfeel is a bit odd. Slightly light feel with perhaps an alkaline like acidic taste. Overall, not a bad brew.

It's ok, dog.

Pours a rather hazy pale yellow with a nice head formed (particularly in light of the growler dispensing). Aroma is of cloves and a little banana in the background. I got around the serving temp problems you can run into by bringing it home and doing it myself. The taste is spicy with a hit of sweetness. Lots of lacing as I drank it down. Very drinkable as I finished off 3/4 of a growler that evening. A great hefe that doesn't overpower with the banana that can really turn me off of some (Gordon Biersch take note).

A: Pours a cloudy yellow-orange color with a small amount of white head and leaves small traces of lacing.

S: Get a lot of banana and nutty tones.

T: Get a lot of flavors that coincide with the smells. Wheat, banana, and nut are the strongest flavors but also get a good amount of spiciness to the beer.

M: Light and smooth body.

D: a solid hefe and yet again another good beer from Four Peaks.
