We stopped here for lunch on our second day in Arizona, surprised to see how this was to the ASU campus, wish I had a place like this near me when I was in college, walk in and see a nice bar along with several tables and outside area as well, I just was not about to sit out in one hundred degree heat and drink a barleywine, their Hopsquatch was great and I am glad I got a glass of that instead of the obvious choice Hop Knot which I have had many times before, and also took a six pack home with me, lots of football going on here and it was packed with Sun Devils fans, also the most people I have ever seen walk in and get growlers filled for a brewpub, had to be three dozen people do so in the hour or so we were there, they had a bunch of other beers there and I believe all of the others were available in bottles as well, maybe not the peach beer but I am not sure, I had chicken strips and fries which was real good, my buddy had the mushroom swiss burger which he seemed to enjoy as well, beer was four to five dollars, each of our meals were eight bucks if I remember correctly, nice lunch stop and wish we could have spent more time here, this one was actually fifteen minutes closer to our hotel than the Scottsdale one, heard they also have a great Sunday brunch, I would go back in the future, one of few places I have been in Arizona but certainly recommended (1,378 characters)

This is a great place for day drinking. A must try is the "from scratch" chicken fingers with the jalapeno dressing. Fries are some of the best as well. (152 characters)

I really enjoyed this place. Went there one night over Christmas with my brother and it was the perfect blend of brew pub/bar/restaurant. There were places to sit at the bar, high tops, low tops, and outside seating depending on what vibe you were looking for. Had the green chili cheese fries and they were awesome. I will definitely be going back (and not just because its only two blocks from my brother's apartment). (420 characters)

Absolute stalwart of the AZ brewing scene, and their 8th Street location is an icon in its own right. Big, airy, open feel, pretty sure they only have swamp cooling, so it can get a touch warm in the summer months. But, it's also oozes a laid back atmosphere, and offers a pretty fantastic menu. Good beer selection, almost always with a seasonal or two and, usually, at least one cask selection (which they manage very well). Pretty much can't do Phoenix beer without hitting Four Peaks. (488 characters)
