Glad I had the chance to drop into World of Beer, which sports an outstanding and broad collection of tap and bottled beer. The first time in, I had a Victory Golden Monkey on tap to start, then followed it with a Southern Tier Creme Brulee, both of which were fresh and typically outstanding. The next time in, I had a bottle of Unibroue Trois Pistoles, part of a tremendous collection of Unibroue World of Beer sports.
The tap selection had offerings from Ommegang, Southern Tier, Victory, Founders, Bell's, Avery, Lost Abbey, Cigar City, Clipper City, New Holland, Lagunitas among others. The bottle selection contains several hundred micros domestic and imported, an extremely well represented variety across styles and countries. I found the prices rather reasonable for fine craft beer, and a little cheaper than The Independent, also in Tampa.
The food offerings consist of basic bar food such as hot pretzels (which are good and come with spicy mustard), and other fried foods. This is fine in a pinch, but don't expect so much as burgers here, much less a steak.
Most of the staff are good and attentive. However, I'd be remiss if I did not mention one particularly obnoxious bartender who hastily grabbed the check book after the first round of beers I bought, with the $8 change inside. When I politely asked for the book for my change and in order to leave a tip, she skidded the check book back to me with a "Guess I was too quick for ya'" remark that deprived her of a tip I would otherwise have given. That is, you might come across a grating (if rather comely) bartender amidst an otherwise good staff.
Definitely worth stopping in for some excellent beer, World of Beer is just off the highway. It is tucked back in a plaza and is not as easy to find, by location or sign, as it ought to be. However, once you get there, the tremendous selection is worth the trip.

Atmosphere - A little more quiet than the World of Beer in Dr. Phillips (Orlando), which is a good thing. Same design as most other world of beers, which is again a good thing. Noise level was moderate.
Quality - the quality of the overall experience was pretty good. There was a wide variety of beers to choose from and the service was friendly and prompt. Make sure that you do not come on a College Night as they are the nights when the quality would take a hit due to the number of college kids there.
Service - Very friendly and prompt. Not bad looking either. Always good to have a great beer served to you buy a good looking waitress.
Selection - Same as a Knightly Spirits or the other World of Beer in Orlando. Has all of the common to slightly uncommon beers that you would want. No really rare beers are there though, which would have been nice.
Value - $7 for Lindemans Framboise? A little pricey. Especially since that isn't the best framboise that you can get out there. They do have some other decently priced uncommon beers so that makes up for it though.

I work at this location. I know my product manager does a great job at the draft and bottle selection. He is a hop head like myself, we also order many imperial style beers and we love supporting ccb. Who ever said the service was bad, things have changed, the cocktails are real nice and kinda hot, the bartenders are prompt and know about their product. Food is nothing to get excited about although our chicken dip is pretty good drunk food, we also dont mind you bringing in food from another place to eat. Wed is college night(half off all drafts with student Id) which can get loud and crazy, Mon is Serv. industry night(half off drafts), happy hour is mon-fri from 4-7 which is usually a wit or esb, something light. I will gladly say our strong point is our beer selection.

Although the selection of beer here was incredible, The crew of employees here seems distant to me. This place has nothing special to offer yet at the same time with this review, Im still glad I stopped in. I tasted 4 styles of very hard to find beers over a 2 day period visit and was plesantly suprised by enjoying 3 of the 4.
The food was decent but the atmosphere seemed to lack that comfortable non business like atmosphere. Seems more like a boss and employee meeting bar to me. I'd go back for the selection , but thats all.

WoB in Tampa Palms. Visited for the first time on Friday. Very busy. Very little seating on top of being very busy. All the tables were those little round table that can seat four people maximum. So that kind of sucked. The place looked nice, though. There is seating available on their second floor. but we didn't check it out. Instead we just ordered our beers at the bar and went outside where they have a few more tables. As far as the beer quality and selection I say they do a good job. A fair number or Import bottles, true Imports, like a good number from Belgium, for example and plenty of variety on draft. I think I could very well enjoy this place, but maybe more on a Thursday afternoon or something. I'll give it another go and right another review.

World of Beer, also known as "The Wob", is a great place to enjoy any beer style of your liking. This place delivers a great selection of beers from around the globe. I would say they have about 25-40 beers on tap and another 100-150 in bottles. They serve their beers in the proper glasses and customers are welcomed with superior and friendly service. I have been waited on by a great pair of waitresses that were always at my service as soon as my glass was approaching empty. They have some bar food such as dips and small appetizers but I have never ordered anything. They have an acoustic group that plays on weekends. They play great music but the volume can get extremely loud. Overall, World of Beer is a must when it comes to enjoying a good beer at a cool place. Cheers.
