From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. Sampled on March 18, 2017.

It pours a handsome looking mahogany amber with a long lasting soft mocha head

The aroma has those Belgian toasted malts and Belgian yeast characters that you hope for along with a little coriander, licorice and dates. Low to no hop profile.

The body is medium-full and generally smooth. Maybe a tad acidic.

Big caramel, butterscotch malt sweetness in the taste with a slight alcoholic cleansing sensation to finish. Also dark fruits. I love beers like this.

This beer is even if it is no longer brewed still available, if you contact the brewer. I find the taste full of caramel, coffee and other good stuff. As long as you leave the last couple of centiliters in the bottle, and pour slowly into the glass, you will have a beautifull dark drink, that will make this cold winter day to another beautifull beer day.

This is a beer full of taste, and aroma. If you can not wait until Winter 2017 is released, then it is time to taste this one. If you need to know where to taste write me on [email protected].

From Beergium. In Grimbergen glass. Playing A Golden Wake. As good as the other ones I tasted recently from previous years. Maybe age smooth its a bit improving it, but this is great too

Dark mahogany brown with a one finger tan fizzy head that dissipated quickly.
Spicy dark fruit notes on the nose and palate. Hints of molasses and brown sugar.
Well carbonated. Slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Not very boozy. That ABV is quite hidden, at first.
Maybe a bit over carbonated but a good Belgian Strong nonetheless.
