Baker Street is in a newer strip mall that's home to several other restaurants. From the outside, it looks like any of a number of chain restaurants.

Inside, Baker Street hits all the fake English Pub chain restaurant buttons. Dark wood paneling is everywhere and the walls are coated in Sherlock Holmes themed memorabilia, plus lots of old magazine ads and random nick-knacks. In the back is a solitary pool table with a huge bookcase behind it. In the middle of the pub is a U-shaped bar. It's surrounded by a collection of tables and booths. There is also a large covered patio that provides a very nice view of the mountains. To be honest, the view is probably the best part about this place.

I'll get my biggest pet peeve out of the way first. How can someone say they have a special on Domestic Drafts, but have it only apply to BMC? Getting past that, the beer list is actually decent. There are around 20 beers on tap, about half of which are craft. The odd thing is that of the 20 taps, only two were Colorado craft beers: Fat Tire and Tommyknocker Maple Brown. No Avery, no Great Divide, no Left hand, no Oskar Blues, etc. Very disappointing. They did; however, have four Deschutes beers going. The rest of the list was rounded out by BMC, Blue Moon and the common Irish and English Imports (Guinness, Bass, etc).

The menu was meat heavy and centered around typical pub fare, plus some Mexican dishes. To be honest, you could sub their menu with the Rock Bottom just up the pike and no one would notice. The food itself was pretty decent. My table ordered and eclectic mix of entrees and everyone was happy with what they got.

Overall, Baker Street is your basic chain Bar and Grill. There's nothing special going on here and the feel is way too corporate for my tastes. For a BA, the beer list puts it a step above most chains, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

Baker St. Pub has an Americanized British pub feel. Lots of TVs showing local sporting events, a large U-shaped bar, many tables and booths, and a nice outdoor area to enjoy a view of the Rockies.

Quality of beers is pretty good. There's probably about 10 local craft brews from New Belgium, Odell, and the likes. Then there were an equal number from mostly west coast brewers like Deschutes and Stone. They also has a small bottle selection but I don't recall what was on it.

It was happy hour when I arrived but you have to read the fine print: only applies to select beers (meaning the Stone IPA that I ordered did not qualify). I was told this after receiving my pint which was a little off-puting. Other than that service was average at best. Bartender asks what you want and gives it to you. End of engagement.

I didn't have any of their food so nothing to report there but the menu had a lot of tempting options.

Overall it's pretty good but that's about all I can say. Clearly better than a Chili's or Applebee's for a BA but not a destination by any means.
