I have been to the store three times and there really nice people.i think his grandma was there the first time i took a trip to the store and she really didn't know much about brewing stuff but she was nice as hell.the home brew supply store is in the back of a flower store so just follow the address and go in.i road right by the place but just happened to had pulled over about 5 stores up from it.the prices are very reasonable some online store may have some grains cheaper but after the shipping it all equals out.

I was just in town and wanted to check the place out. Very nice atmosphere, place is co-located with a flower shop. Owners were super friendly. They were setting up for the holidays.
They had a normal selection of grains and yeast. I felt they had a better than normal hop selection!!! Just a few normal supplies that you would need in everyday operation, nothing over the top.
I'm sure they could order you anything you ever needed and there can do attitude would make it my only stop in the area. Just a nice friendly shop that they remember you by name!

This is the only place I'll go for any supplies I ever need. The place is split with a flower show, which is interesting, but all good. Strange that this isn't the only homebrew store that is like this. It's all family run, which is awesome and there is tons of knowledge between father and son. Has a nice variety of grain, hops and all the chemicals you may need while brewing beer or wine. There have been times when they had sold out of something I was looking for but they helped me find substatues or special ordered it right away for me. All in all, a tiny bit pricier than some of the online stores, but after shipping there really isn't a difference at all and sometimes they are still less. Also, he sells extract kits that he makes up personally from his own recipes as well as All-grain. This all said, the interaction that you get is worth a trip.

This is the best home brew shop in the Pittsburgh area in my opinion. It shares the space with a flower shop...which is odd, but gives me a chance to bring the wife home some flowers when she's mad that I'm going to be brewing all afternoon. Never had an issue with quality at all. Never had to substitute any ingredients on my list. The best thing about ruffled is the owner (I would assume he's the owner). I only go in on Saturdays and he's always there. I call in my grain orders on Friday afternoon and they're always cracked and waiting for me first thing in the morning when they open on Saturday. He has tons of good advice...helped me solve a keg problem and a water problem I was having. He's got tons of personal experience to share. Only minor complaint I would have is that because of the way he prices out single ounces of grain, sometimes you'll pay more for a few ounces than you would a full pound. Example 12 ounces at 25 cents an ounce equates to $3...whereas a whole pound typically runs $2. It's weird.
